Hi,
I am working on a surface filter that when the preview is rendered on the first pass it looks fine but after the second pass it develops a lot of coarse noise. What can I do to fix that?

Thanks,
Ron

turn off anti-aliasing.

Thanks Kraellin - that did the trick. It seems to be slower now so I guess the rendering algorithm must have had shift something back to the first pass - oh well.

you're welcome.

but that's a bit odd. you eliminate the 5 pass anti-alias and it got slower?

I think so. Unfortunately that was in the prototype phase and the filter has moved on from the place where I could verify that but when I get back to the reflective portion of the process I should be able so say more about it. I will post back to this thread if I am able to say anything one way or the other with confidence.

BTW, I have some component parameters i would like to include in the user's 'variations' command but I do not want them listed. Is there a way to do that? This is to avoid clutter and user confusion.

Thanks,
Ron
