Hi,

I inspected Quasimondos zoom/scale snippet and saw he uses the profile gradient to stretch stuff.
I'm now trying to implement it in one of my filters because it would only stretch vertically (using caleidoscope and checker).

The problem I ran into is that when using a profile gradient with a rectangular image the profile gradient will always be a square the size of the shortest side of the gradient (see image).

Anybody any ideas on how to cope?

Ron

Oh yeah... another thing about the profile gradient... in the settings tab you always get a 'Size, pixels' slider. It also influences the profile gradient.

Is there any way to stop that?

Oh yes I also noticed that - I even totally forgot to test the zoom thing with non-square images.

I don't think there is anything we can do about it at the moment. That is the price of the "seamless" feature. Which hopefully will become an optional feature in the future, not a mandatory one.

Yes, the auto-tiling gets in the way at times.

Hey thanks... that works like a charm... (just replaced the noise gradient with an image)
The new version of the filter has not been approved yet but I guess the url will stay the same: the seventies
