Excuse me if this all seems blindingly obvious, but I'm a 'newbie' to editing filters, so I just need a little feedback on this.

To be honest haven't touched the FF anti-aliasing settings until recently when I noticed a jagged curve on the filter I'm working on, but now I'm slightly confused as to why you can have this set differently on each preset and for this to then differ from the editor setting.

This leads me to another question, do uploaded filter presets default to the editor anti-aliasing setting or should they all be checked before publishing?

Thanks smile:)

Hello ChrisP..The settings are saved with the presets..So its best to set the quality of the anti-aliasing before making the presets..Which after all this time I still don't do that... smile:)

I guess the reason why you can have individual AA settings for each preset is that you this way can finetune the antialias settings. More samples mean slower rendering, and some presets may look good enough even with lower sample count, so you should select the lowest AA sample count you can accept qualitywise for a given preset.

Yes I can see what you mean regarding the optimization of the presets and I suppose it would also makes sense if each custom preset setting is retained when the new filter is uploaded.

Thanks Sphinx.
