A random rotate effect is that possible?
Can anyone give me some pointers?
Thank you

take a look at the 'any angle rotate' snippet in the library and see if that isnt what you're looking for.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Start with Any Angle Rotate v1.1

Now replace the "Angle" control with a random greyscale value map. (Doesn't appear to be a snippet for this, I may make one if its requested)

Here is a random color snippet. Set the color on the tile to 50% gray, H to 0, L to 100 and S to 0 and you have a random grayscale.

A snippet would be appreciated.
Had some very fun effects with graymap experiments, but not the desired one.

Thanks for your replies!

edit: thanks sjeiti, going to try that one right know. smile:)

edit2: okay, thank you, also... is it possible to have this effect with the same image so that the image repeats x times and with a random rotate connected?
(so that we get little lifesavers, all with different rotations)

What is the problem? It works fine here (see attachement).

-edit-

Ah little lifesavers you want... that will not work with size/pixels though, but I remember a snippet that tiles - ah this one?

Okay, so we have to combine that one with the other two.

Got this far but it has a minimum of 2 tiles. But you can use offset on the end result to bring it back to one.
