A random rotate effect is that possible?
Can anyone give me some pointers? Thank you May The Forge Be With You |

take a look at the 'any angle rotate' snippet in the library and see if that isnt what you're looking for.

Start with Any Angle Rotate v1.1
Now replace the "Angle" control with a random greyscale value map. (Doesn't appear to be a snippet for this, I may make one if its requested) Done |

Here is a random color snippet. Set the color on the tile to 50% gray, H to 0, L to 100 and S to 0 and you have a random grayscale.

A snippet would be appreciated.
Had some very fun effects with graymap experiments, but not the desired one. Thanks for your replies! edit: thanks sjeiti, going to try that one right know. ![]() edit2: okay, thank you, also... is it possible to have this effect with the same image so that the image repeats x times and with a random rotate connected? (so that we get little lifesavers, all with different rotations) May The Forge Be With You |

What is the problem? It works fine here (see attachement).
-edit- Ah little lifesavers you want... that will not work with size/pixels though, but I remember a snippet that tiles - ah this one? Any Angle Random Rotate.ffxml |

Okay, so we have to combine that one with the other two.

Got this far but it has a minimum of 2 tiles. But you can use offset on the end result to bring it back to one.
