Hi Im a Newbe to FF.
I have some skin textures and skin bump maps. I want to create a seamlessly tiles 8x10 sheet from a 300pix sample. Can I bring in a jpeg of my sample and then use that and manipulate that? Thanks |

filter forge doesnt take an existing image and re-make it into a seamless image. would be nice if such a beast existed, but FF isnt that beast. i mean, you can import your image and have a filter which is nothing but an imported image component plugged into a results component, but it wont remap it into a seamless tile type image.
filter forge can create stand-alone textures that are seamless and does this very nicely. but, when you use imported images, that changes the nature of the beast. you can apply effects to that image, but it wont truly remap your original into a seamless tile type. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Hello Suzzie and welcome to FF...Like craig said FF does not take an existing image and create a seamless tile out of it...However you can use this filter that I created for that very task.....
http://www.filterforge.com/filters/5161.html This will take your original image and turn it into a seamless tile....But this will not give you a perfect solution but it also depends on your original image and the results of the Filter Forge filter might still need some touch up in Photoshop..... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Imagesynth from Luxology should do what you want to do.
