I want to employ Photoshops Sumi-e filter for a website project. To run Photoshop on a server side isn't a solution, so I need to understand how the Sumi-e is built together and with which tools I could run it on a server side.

			Can anyone help? Thanks |

No, currently we don't offer a server-side option.

You could probably use the FFBatchRender command line tool and call it from a php or C# server side script as long as you either build the required XMLs each time or you have a queue where you process "file-to-process.png" with the XML built once, wait for it to be done, move the next file to that path, process again and so on.

You may want to look at MapZone, they offer an SDK that you can use for server-side stuff:

@Totte, thanks for your quick feedback! Your proposed solution could work.

@Vladimir, thanks for your input, i'll check the mapzoneditor and the folks overthere. do you know any guy who is capable to rewrite the sumi-e effect in imagemagick or any other server based app? thanks! |
