I'll post this on Freelancer.com too, but since Filter Forge allows you to graphically see image calculations for easily estimate it (that probably could be represented in a single-line equation) I'll give it a try here.

I need a filter that uses the following components:

MEDIAN 1
MEDIAN 2
MEDIAN 3
BLEND 1
THRESHOLD
BLEND 2 (opacity fr om current selection)
BLEND 3
INVERT
BLEND 4

Controls:
4 sliders (median1, 2 and 3, threshold, and blend 4)

I'd like your honest opinion. I always wanted others to be able to do what I do without my experience, and without needing to buy filterforge to get it. I hope I can get it someday.

I heard the SDK "dissolve" example is ready to use and modify, but I'll take days until I understand wh ere the cookie is baked in all those giant configuration files. (most of it seems to be default configs and just one line to do the math)

I'd use FilterMeister but it will only work for PCs smile:(

Thanks.

Just one question, why do you think it would be cheaper to develop something using the SDK?
You spend what? $300 for FilterForge? Where can you find a skilled programmer that can develop what you need using the SDK for a price that matches that?

OK, if you are a large corporation and is in need of 1000+ items maybe, but part from that, I cannot even remotely see the reason to make a something like that, and I've spent the past 25 years of my life programming for a living (Mac OS and Mac OS X), the past 10 as a independent consultant.
