One little thing that can help a bit is if the normal map wasn't so noisy. I mean, it works as a normal map just to get that dusty appearance but certain values dealt in some 3D programs can make a mess. I think by default image maps are filtered so much of the noise disappears, but it'd be better with a cleaner, distinct plate. (Although, yes for all reasons the bump map works well already. In considering lighting, normal maps would be much useful.)
But very cool still. I remember when I was working on my film, I used this filter but never really did the 3D part of it because it had none. Well, now there is one. |
