ok, i dont know what happened, but the presets didnt get rendered right. they're very badly off on the website here. i have pre-made presets with this thing, so the website shldnt have rendered these fr om scatch. and wh ereas they loosely resemble my presets, the ones on the website here are wrong. i've never had this happen before. i sat and watched the presets render as i was submitting the filter, but they've come out incorrectly. quite odd.
so, the ones shown on the filter page are not what you actually get. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Craig I think I know what happened. If you set the "seamless" tile setting in the program you get the pictures rendered on the website. You are correct in stating that these are not what you intended. The presets are lovely in the actual program. Very Asian in design and something I will use for backgrounds. Great filter. Too bad they don't look correct on the site. I would post about this in the bug thread and see if the Mods will clear it up for you.
Here is a quick render I did. I love this filter. ![]() ![]() |

Looks like a good background maker.
If I ever need to draw something like those cool Chinese drawings, I know where to start ![]() |

mardar, i think that must be it. if you dont set the seamless and render them that way, the website 'adjusts' them. such an antiquated feature. it shld be removed. i wonder what it does on filters that cant be seamless due to the controls?
and thanks, mardar. i like this one, too. some of those images evoke sunsets on water seen through reeds or bamboo or tall grasses. i think it's one of my better abstract filters. thanks, morgantao ![]() nice, gene ![]() ![]() If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Gene love that graphic. You always amaze me how you use my filters in ways I could never imagine. I would never have noticed you used my Retro Dots on the face if I hadn't read it in the other thread. Great job.
Craig here is another example. I took a lot more time constructing this one. I used JE Strange's Sloppy Border 02 filter on this one. ![]() Looks like butterflies fluttering over water with reeds. |

Craig, this nice filter creates beautiful backgrounds. And I love Mardar and Gene's example. We can do a lot of things with your filter.
