Hey Carl, glad to see you up and about
Actually, after I post a filter, I've been trying to beat everyone to my filter comments string so that I can post my test pics first....but I'm not always fast enough I was just trying to think of it from a user perspective....and that I would first want to see example pics of how the filter can be used beyond what is shown by the lifesaver presets....thus helping me to quickly see if the filter is what I'm looking for.....and save me time messing around with the wrong filters....
Vlad stated that FF is considering a gallery link in each filter description....which I think would be great.....and would give a whole new self-dynamic to filters.....like they have their own website or something like that.... Steve

#1 and 2, although 6 has a couple interesting qualities. i find it interesting in #1 that the effect seems to go from semi-transparent in the upper right to opaque in the lower part. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Your perspective is completly valid - my lack of etiquette is not.I have learnt alot since FF, being a complete newbie to relating to people non - verbally,it's a foreign world that has knowledge, language and behavior which up to a few months ago I had not experenced, having never touched a computor before that time.

Carl, no problem and no need to appologize for anything. There was no way for you to know what I was trying to do.....and besides, you were doing the exact same thing that I just did to one of your filters....
This thing with the comment string is just me being anal about something I'm trying to do. Feel free to post anything you like anytime you like....but try not to ralf too much hehehe

Kraellin, believe it or not, I'm just about at the end of Metallics  ....just a couple more artistic ones I might post....then I'm not looking back Like I said in the other posts, I'm now into alot of other things....mainly different glass filters. I've also been thinking of turning my attention to custom HDRIs.....although not submissable to FF, it would open alot of creative doors in my own work.... Steve

yup, i need to get back to hdri's too, but it'll have to wait for a bit. i'm upgrading some of my multi-filters. these are my idea filters. i dont submit them for fear of being laughed, vilified and hung on a cross for having 'giant' filters with HUGE numbers of controls so, i just use them for ideas and a bit of photo art once in a while.
also, if you're going back to glass, take a look at 'glass menagerie'. it might give you some ideas. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
