I think it can be useful to do many things. The first is applying the effect on an area of the image ( Design Image control ) and then blending it with the image. You can see it in the preset 3 : ![]() It gives the feeling that some kind of fluid or smoke comes out. Another way to use it is to give interesting liquid effects to the whole picture, like in the preset 2 : ![]() Finally you can also use it for painting effects, especially reducing the "Pixel, size", like in the preset 7 : ![]() |

This is a great filter. I find myself often looking for filters that work nicely on simple shapes, and this filter has an option that applies the effect to the design image (from within the settings) while leaving the loaded (background)image intact. Thanks for making this filter available!
