I think some of the parameters can be consolidated to save time. I can see what's happening, but visually most people would see it random more than needing meticulous fine-control over it. Also you might wanna narrow down some of the ranges of your controls, it's not next-variant friendly!

Yes Skybase, you're right. I may add more randomness. It will be easier.
I also want to find a better solution for when two areas with the same color are near. I use Stones to create the main pattern. Every single stone is filled with Pavement. Depending on the color of that area of the Image, the size and the rotation of the Pavement is different. This also means that areas with the same color get filled with the same Pavement. It is basically ok, but when two stones with the same color are connected, the Pavement looks like a continuum. I don't like it. It would be better if it was a bit in different position or rotation, but not too much. It is probably not too hard to do. ![]() |

Thanks Erik!
![]() As you can see, I also plan to make it better. So I guess I will have an update soon. |

Not sure if this helps, or is even applicable, but the guy who did 'substrate' made his source code available! Not even sure how the source code could help out with a Filter Forge filter, but still, maybe it can spark an idea.
http://www.complexification.net/galle...substrate/ If nothing else, there are lots of cool examples. ![]() The Joy is in The Work |

Thank you. Yes, the examples are surely nice and useful to understand.
About the code, I'll check it. But I'm not a programmer, so I may not be able to get the right results from the code. |

You probably can't do anything from the code. The thing is Processing and FilterForge work completely differently. In FilterForge, we're basically fudging results by making it look like what Substrate does. Also Substrate is self-drawing, you so far can't do that in FilterForge.

Love it, this is really cool, I like it very much and this filter and what you have done.
I have to say that I have the Substrate app on iPad and is really good, but the problem I see is that the lines are too much jagged and are not clearly defined as it happens in FF or how can be seen in this filter itself
Yes, I have seen this website and is very good but have never tried the processing software as I do not have any experience in coding |

Yes, Skybase, as you said, Substrate system is very different from Filter Forge. We can only think at the final result and try to do something with a similar look.
