Yeah, I like the effects of this one too.....but that should come as no surprise smile:D I just peeked under the hood.....and very clever use of gradients to get this unique effect. Nice work!!! smile:)

This was one of my first filters I made, where shortly after uploading it I noticed a dumb redundancy mistake in it. I left it in there for an odd joke for people to perhaps notice (or not).
But I recently saw it earned a high usage ranking, so thought it deserved the efficiency update... (Just a bit of it's history here.)

Thanks, Carl and StevieJ. smile:)

ssamm, I've been using it alot since my last post, and I've got to say that this one really has very desirable "clean" chromatic effects. I would have done mine like this....if I had known how to gradients when I made them smile:)

Thanks again, StevieJ. I think the gradients idea might work well as a modified version to some of your filters.

The cons of using the gradient&elevation gradient is that you lose your original image's colors and have to come up with your own. But it does give a slightly different effect that can be interesting (e.g. a "cleaner" ordering of colors).
(Hmmm, and actually, now you've got me thinking of personal filters I may try modifying... smile:) )

Yeah, I've been learning that too.....and also need to go back and do some re-construction as well.....

I'm not fully versed on how to separate and assemble colors yet.....but I'm going to learn it to get control over ordering colors. I have been playing around with things like Uber's Circular Gradient Control lately. It's really all new to me because I've never done gradient work before.....but like you said, it's proving to be a much cleaner way.....
