Nice Mandelbrot filter.
Yes, Silicon, as you said, there is already somebody who had the idea to make a Mandelbrot filter, but your version looks very nice. |

We should try a 3D version.

In FilterForge? I haven't tried any ray marching in FF yet, but I suspect it'd take hours to get a mandelbulb of reasonable resolution. Worth a shot though

We can still try to make in 3D the picture that your filter makes in 2D using a Smudge component. I'm uploading an example. You should find it in the library tomorrow.

Sphinx probably successfully generated mandelbulbs in FilterForge.

Oh, you mean 2.5D. yeah, that's totally viable.
And there's no reason why mandelbulbs wouldn't work in FilterForge, it's just not really designed for it. Silicon |

Here is some example :
This is the filter : Stone World Landscapes - Silicon and jitspoe Mandelbrot In my filter I put more importance in creating a landscape with the image, but if we delete the image, we can do a pure fractal. We can also change the view to have a better understanding of the Mandelbrot shape. |

For anyone unable to use this filter recently because of a script error, I fixed the problem. I hope the author does not mind.
