Hey Jean, nice work!!! smile:) I would suggest writing more in the description to the apps intended.....like creating stencils for shooting patterns on fabric etc.....and load the keywords with all the corresponding terms to it.....will bring those users right to your filter smile:)

Love the "softness" on the eye of these..... smile:)

LOL

Most of mine have a book on the front-----------> you caught me snoozing on the about screen. LOL

Keywords are good though so not sure what you mean on that. But agree the about page on this could have said a bit more. It's such a lovely filter!~ Have to admit 'Stencil' is one of my favorites that I've done.

Like put yourself in the shoes of the target user.....and think of "ALL" the terms they might type in to search for something like this.....which is definitely key to putting your filter in front of that user first.....like Textiles, cloth, clothing, print, printing, etc.....and take out the ones you know your target user is not going to type in. Space is limitted, so choose wisely.....can make or break a filter over the long run smile:)

Oh okay you don't like the keywords I have. Because it does have keywords. Just the wrong words you are saying. Yep, yep, I can fix that.

Right now the keywords on the fitler are:

stencil, country, background, backgrounds, tile, tiles, web, PSP, PI, adobe, photoshop, stencils, brush, brushes, scarp, book, scrapbook, color

These are not good? smile:D

Oh sorry, I didn't mean to say that your' weren't good.....just advise for targetting specific groups of users.....

Okay, please don't kill me smile:D I would keep.....stencil, country, background....and scap the rest because it is highly unlikely that someone looking for stencils or printing patterns would use those terms in their search. I would add the terms.....pattern, print, screen, screenprint, fabric, textiles, tile_pattern, etc.....you know what I mean.....terms that people would most likely use in their search to satisfy their application.....

No kill Steve.....try help Jean.....fire bad!!! smile:D LOL.....

Ah, I remember seeing this filter in the User Gallery! Good to see it in it's released incarnation! Very nice filter and one of the best uses of the kaleidoscope component I've seen and a great selection of presets to choose from!

Actually I find it hilarious that Persidio and I have basically reverse filter documentation methods. I completely saturate the description and keywords so that they are at the very least within a 5 character margin of the maximum and occasionally put arguably related keywords like "Exploding Hamster" in them (no seriously, search for exploding hamster and see what you get). However my blind-spot is followup documentation of the forums -- I pretty much say "Here's a new filter! Have fun! Now I shalt disappear -- POOF!" and that's about it, ahahah. On the flip side, Persidio keeps the descriptions nice and short and writes up extremely comprehensive documentation of the forums with plenty of visual examples which is extremely helpful! ^_^

The above aside, Filter Forge has a very good search engine, so I've personally never found lack of critical keyword sensitivity much of a problem in my experience.

Hey I like that magic trick~ You need to show me that one, LOL.

You are right we both have different areas we do ... then stick a fork in it, it's done. smile:devil:

I need to redo the keywords; will get that done later today. smile:D

Just want to add that I normally do add alot in the 'about area'... here is one of the quilts as an example http://www.filterforge.com/filters/2894.html ((If you look on most my fitlers you'll see that area is normally full.)) smile:D

I usally push that area to the max. Been tired and busy however going back to fix that and the keywords right now~

Hugs

Jean
