This one's been 1/2 way totally remade internally. Below are 3 examples of presets, same preset used on each of the pairs. Same preset on the rose, then on the cup, times 3. Thanks for looking. smile:)

the first and third remind me of those cut crystal glass, squarish bookends you see from time to time. would love to see that more defined.

I saw the rose and cup and thought this was a StevieJ filter, very confused for the last couple of minutes. smile:) Cool effect. How did you manage to upload so many pics to a single post by the way, it won't let me upload above a 300X300 image ??? smile:?:

----Thanks. smile:) You should be able to just lower the *Refraction Amount* control, and maybe lower the *Smoothing* just a bit too, and get more definition out of it.

----Thanks. smile:) I really did rework this one a ton inside, like 1/2 of it is different now, and the output is much more interesting than before. It's still kind of a "mangler", but it's got way more range, and is almost worth messing with now ha-ha. smile:D

----I dunno really, I just use Andale (throwback to my old ebay days) and just clicked image 6 times, and added the urls.

Variation 3 and 4 are spectacular! Great reworking of a filter! Is there a way that you could add a tiling control to this filter, I understand that may be hard with the current set up, but it would be useful to have a 4X4 window-esque look; just a thought smile:)

----Thanks. smile:) My rusty old majick 8-ball says "unlikely", however, Majick 8-ball Inc. says in their FAQ = "feel free to add tiling, and tweak away and make a new filter". smile:D

Thank you for the previews, jffe, I would never had thought to see what this could do, but it's quite lovely... especially #3 and #5 for me smile:D

Oh, I could see this filter being advanced to actually make "precious" cut gems too, if you are ever so inclined (hint hint) smile;)

----Hmm, well, that sounds about like what Kraellin asked about maybe, so lemme be lazy and cut & paste my reply here - You should be able to just lower the *Refraction Amount* control, and maybe lower the *Smoothing* just a bit too, and get more definition out of it. smile:D

Ooops, sorry about that. I didn't bother reading the other's comments, just wanted to give you my appreciative thought on this quickly because I was that impressed with the extra samples you shared smile:)

----No worries, I just thought your request sounded similar, so it might be worth trying. Let me know if it's still not working out for ya, and I can always take a peek inside and see if it can be adjusted slightly. I'm just too lazy to make it tile-able, sorry Redcap, that one's all yours ha-ha smile:p
