What the filter looks like over an image.
I used this as a separate layer so I had more control of the color and lighting under the curtain itself till I was happy with it smile:)

nice, i like this one.

and with a tiny bit of tweaking, you could have a 'fire' filter there too.

Really? Never thought of making a fire filter. There's so many great ones already. Might try that out for the fun of it though, not really a 'fire' sort of gal though smile:evil: smile;)

Actually you're right, Ahimsa... I was too quick in naming this that I misnamed it for a textured curtain rather than the sheer curtain it really is. Wonder if it's possible to rename our filters smile:?:

Oh I can!?! Great, it was bothering me (but didn't want anyone else to know) that what I meant to name it was what this filter represents, sheer and not gauzy. There is a difference, the gauzy style would be a nice filter to have too, though... or maybe a lace one smile;)

Thanks for the tip, will go do that right now before I forget smile:D

What's nice when you update is that it doesn't change the stats. You know, it doesn't start over at zero. smile:D

That's very nice to know... but I just tried to re-submit and it won't let me change the name of the filter, just the content of it's description and keywords.
Any ideas what to do now smile:?:

When you edit the filter, make sure you go to the update tab and say what you edited.

If all else fails, write to FF and ask them to change the name.

Ok, did that... just asked if it could be changed to Foxxee's Sheer Curtains in the Update tab. Hope that works and doesn't just show up the same name with the update telling everyone else what I wanted it to read as, that would be embarrassing smile:-p

Here's another example of what the filter looks like over a photo. I was thinking of putting up a 'tasteful' back view of a nude in the distance but thought I best in case there are rules I haven't read on this sort of thing... but that is what comes to mind when wanting to use this sort of filter for photography work smile;)

oops... sorry it's so big smile:?:

i'm not.

the way you re-submit with a name change is, first, go into the editor and save the exact same filter with the new name you want it to be. then, go ahead and run through the submit process. when it asks if this is a new filter, pick the 2nd option and that's where you'll get a list in which your old filter will show. simply pick your old filter from that list and proceed on.

Oh darn, now you tell me smile:-p
I've already resubmitted it, but hopefully the staff will understand and either toss it out or do the renaming for me. Hope it's the latter of the 2 smile:D
Thanks for this helpful tip also, Kraellin. Will have to remember this one for sure, I'm bound to need to use it in the near future, hehe.

Hi Foxxee...

My last post before I bury myself in FF to make filters... I'll be back later this afternoon or evening (depending on whether I tackle weeds after creating filters... in that case I won't be back till it's dark outside)...

Well, while I was having the curtains put up by the FF Curtain & Carpet Co. I ran out and played a little! Found a nice writing stick and put my name in the wet sand smile:-p Forgot to get Kraellin's Rubber Face to put a better billow in the curtains though smile:(

Just thought I would let you know.

Saw the doc, she doubled my blood pressure medicine and one of my diabetes pills. I get the artery doppler next week I think. The one diabetes pill has allowed me to lower one of my insulins, so she doubled the dose of the one pill so that maybe I can get rid of that insulin. I take 5 shots a day plus 3 different diabetes pills. Diabetes is too much fun... smile:puke:

She talked about dialysis again...sure wish she would stop.

She said the blood pressure was the cause of the mild stroke and that it was extremely high that day. So now I have to have my own blood pressure dohicky. My desk already looks like a nurses station! smile:D

Actually that was a more positive visit than others. The diabetes is causing the problems, the new pill seems to be helping. Thanks to the diabetes I have a lovely range of problems that include my kidneys, heart, and liver. I am legally blind from it as well. Fortunately I still have good circulation and any wounds I get heal.

It could be worse. I know a man that is a brittle diabetic and he is messed up from it. He spends most of his life in the hospital now.

A gift for Foxxee~ smile:D smile:D smile:D

Foxxee this sample uses two of your filters and one of David's (no other filters were used).

If someone would help me out with links to Foxxee's other filter and Davids that would be great...
-------------------------------------
My Notes on Notepad during creation:

1st Preset

Glass Contrast to 52

Anti-Alias Off

Foxxee's 'Through My Window'

Add to Favorites

-------------------

Foxxee's Sheer Curtains

Preset 3

Transparency slider all the way down

Anti-Alias Off

Add to Favorites

-----------------

Apply as a layer and add an extra 30 to the layer transparency

--------------------

Mercury_carbonfiber_bath

By Davidhyno

4th Preset

Apply to solid white background... the bottom half of the filter creates a perfect curtain rod (((quick too)))
----------------------------------

Move the rod up to fit on the window

Apply a bunched up layer of Preset 3 of Foxxee's Sheer Curtains to cover the top of the rod to match the curtains.

Apply Preset 3 to Font

Thanks Ron!!

I bunched up the curtains too much on the rod...

and if I'd have known it would be so washed out when loaded ... I would have added your Lab Enhance to the whole thing...

Headed over to make a sample on one of your filters... preferably an older one because those are past average use stage and need more usage ... any preferences on what I should make a sample for?
