Thanks. smile:D You might check out Black White And Gray, it does this stuff, the outlines, as well as a lot more stuff, it's just a bit more complex and takes 1 or 2 seconds longer to render, still almost "instant" though ha-ha. smile:)

I was also going to suggest changing the lead preset over to variation #3.....personally, I think that one really sticks out.....but I could be wrong about doing that given the title smile:)

I tried that Black White And Gray one and it's wonderful. Now to try this one.

This one is nice, but I like the other better. smile:)

----Thanks. smile:) The other one is this one plus a bit more internally. I took 1/2 a page from ye olde book of Stevie ha-ha, and made this one separate, so people could more easily just get these looks. smile:D

----Err, last time I looked I think it was in some kind of "geometric glass" ha-ha, but don't quote me on that, since he moves pretty fast. smile:D

----Well, Stevie does filters his own way and "writes with his own crayon", so to speak, so umm, yeah, I have no idea why we're accusing him of writing a book with a crayon ha-ha, surely he could type it up on his computer silly. smile:p

Just in a silly mood today I guess. smile:)

Still wondering how to add a filter to the favorites section in FF so I can put your other one in there.

ahimsa, in the GUI menu, pick 'filter', 'add to favorites'. just make sure the filter you want to add is the one currently active.

Great, now I can go through the filters and add all my favorites. That was very easy.

Ok, I had no clue what GUI was, but I did understand menu. smile:D

GUI = graphic user interface. in other words, the interface or even more simply, what you see when you first start up FF.

Oh, thanks.

After all these years I'm still not sure I know the correct meaning of browser, but I think it's the main window for AOL or IE.

a browser is the whole application, not just one part. I.E., the whole thing, is the browser. you 'browse' the internet with it.

StevieJ-bashing again, eh??? smile:D I knew the hairs on the back of neck were standing up for a reason smile;) smile:D LOL.... I did find that I made a mistake dividing my GeometricGlass.....I'm combining and requesting that two be deleted.....so your remarks are justified smile;) smile:D LOL....

----Naw, something about writing a book with a crayon, I dunno, ask ahimsa, it was her thing really, I was just plaing along until I got too confused to keep going. This thread has gone so far off topic, that it has no hope at this point anyways ha-ha smile:D

Didn't mean to contribute to it by playing around.....so let's put it back on topic.....because it's an excellent filter!!! smile:)

So this is the simplified variant of the two.....I haven't tried your other one yet, but I will...... smile:)

----Yeah, the Black White And Gray filter is the extended dance remix version of this one. You can achieve these exact same effects with it, but it does way more, this is just the simple/quick version for people who just want this effect, and a few easy to use variations. Not my usual thing, but it did kind of make sense for this one. smile:D

Thank you so much for this one Jffe!
I would have told you how much I liked playing with it but my keyboard stopped working yesterday and could only use the mouse. Unfortunately all the crazy waving and mousy wiggles couldn't get your attention, so had to wait till today to add my appreciation for your Intant Outline smile:D

----Ha-ha, you're welcome, it doesn't do all that much, but it seems to be pretty good at what it does, outlining things quickly ha-ha. smile:D

I thought I'd show a few more examples of this filter. Below is the original Stevie_cup pic, followed by 5 examples, just from the presets, all rendered in 3 seconds or less, and these are 25% quality renders.

Alright, same thing again, with the Stevie_rose pic, (thanks to Stevie for the useful example pics by the way, his rose & cup pics have come in handy for testing), same (5 of 12) presets in the same order top-to-bottom, same time to render, same 25% quality.
