Even though the default image is certainly well chosen for testing any filter, I wanted to provide another sample for this one. Here is a group of results from the various settings, applied to one of my own photos:
...and the original image for reference:

That looks really nice. I like how you did the sample there with all the presets.

Well, Capn, I don't normally use these sorts of filters, but when I saw your first variation in your second post it gave me an idea, so I tried it out. Took an already created sample I did for ZacDS's Zebra filter and ran yours over it. Then I took that and with the clone brush in PAP I started to put parts of the zebra back over the top of your filter effect. I like it, and will have to do some more experimenting with similar filters I think ~Foxxee~

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I think I have a touch of the flu, and I'm running a bit of a fever.

Thanks As I said before, I really think the default image is great for testing most filters, but I was just felt the results with this particular photo showed a little more of the range of effects. (I was really happy with how fast this filter runs too!)

Thanks I am quite honored. (A very interesting use of this filter too, by the way. One which never occurred to me before. )
So great to see people finding it useful.

Hope you get to feeling better, Capn.

Too bad we can't have little characters like your pirate smilie for AVATARS, Ahimsa. This would be a good one for the Capn ~Foxxee~

I wanted the pushups kitty for mine, but by the time I reduced the file size down far enough you couldn't even tell what you were looking at anymore.
PS...Foxxee, you got a long email from some crazy woman in Washington. Sorry, didn't mean to write a book.

Oh... ok, will check it once I've caught up here. I still have some samples I want to make up and finish, and on an outside (of my computer) project I was ask to help with. If I can't answer it tonight, I promise you'll get one from me tomorrow morning... ok?
And don't worry about the length, I joined a book club, should fit right in with me ~Foxxee~

Hmm... I never thought of this until you mentioned it. I just use the pirate girl because she is one of my favorite drawings. (She was my entry in a contest to design a mascot for the Tokyo Animation Festival.)
The thing is... I never stopped to think that people might assume I'm female!
(Of course, she is quite a 'tomboy', so maybe she doesn't look that much like a 'she'?) hahaha

Hahaha... Definitely a boy (and a pirate in spirit only, I might add!)
Just to give you an idea of why I got to thinking about this...
