Makes a great ancient temple wall covered in a long forgotten language.

variation #1 looks even cooler when you run it seamless. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

a while back I was trying to come up with an idea of how to make a stylized heiroglyph with ff....and its safe to say a technique like this never even crossed my mind. .
You definatly get bonus points from me in construction.

She probably does mean "Runes" as in the script used by the ancient teutonic tribes of europe.

I finally got around to doing a version of this kind of thing. I looked inside and you used an interesting method to get the look (the fancy part to get the windows or whatever specifically, as opposed to just using tiles). Mine's dumbed down a bit really, and is not textured/3-D, but after seeing your filter again last week I finally sat down this weekend and made one myself, so thanks for the reminder/inspiration.
