My Second filter. YAY Again let me know what you think of it.
A word of warning, in order to get this filter submitted i had to add an extra levels controler at the very begning of the filter to make the sample image suitible for the effect. Depending on your original image you may use this for you might want to tweak or remove this controler from the filter to get your desired effect. I built the filter around this image I renderd. ![]() I make things go band! |

Nice effect. I like the dirtied, interlaced look, but...
...you really need to add some more control to this filter to make it really usable. Most importantly, make the initial levels and hue/saturation operations tweakable, so users can adjust the effect to their images. Some more control suggestions: - Black Point / Gamma / White Point (from initial Levels component) - Grain Amount - Interlace Amount - Glow Amount - Streak Angle (maybe?) ... and voila, you got yourself 7-9 controls! ![]() ![]() And don't forget to give us some nice presets. Oh, and how about some global color tint? Might be useful for creating different looks... --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

You can add a slider to allow the users to control the Levels amount. Also, you can replace Levels with Brightness/Contrast with 'Preserve Color' checkbox turned on -- this way you can increase the contrast without color oversaturation inherent to Levels. |

Good points. Ill get round to doing some thing about that soonish... But im just posting to let everyone know my last filter update has now been added, no new real controls added other than the distortion control.
But The main adon is the distortion effect its self... Let me know if you like. I make things go band! |

This caught my eye — I like the horizontal streaks. While I've never seen trailers for The Ring, this made me think of the effects used in some trance music videos. *downloads to try it*
