three things here by way of critique... hash marks, out of bounds/end line marks and add a horizontal offset so that the two dark greens on the left and right are equal in width to the other divisions
interesting idea. gonna do a baseball diamond, too? If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Not sure how to do the offset thing (basically scale the lines so that they are proportional all the way across, right?); point me at an example?
Regarding hash and out of bounds lines... Like all the lines in this pic (from wikipedia), but without the numbers? |

mouse, for the offset, just add an offset component and hook up or set the horizontal offset so that you arent dividing one of the light or dark vertical columns.
yes and re your example picture of the football field... scalable vector graphics? boy, had to use paint shop pro 9 to open that one. seems my default .svg program is psp 9. i guess i better update my file preferences. (and no, i'm not upbraiding you for using .svg files. just hadnt seen one in a while If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Wikipedia loves SVG files. I forgot about that. Are you using Firefox to browse? It pops right up in FF, but that might be because I have Photoshop CS3 installed, which has a SVG viewer... I don't know if SVG will ever really take off. They've been trying for a while.
Regarding the offset and hash marks: I think it's a mag idea. My original concept for this was just the paint part, but I could make it a fully functional football field generator, I think. Hmmm.. have to think on how to do everything. (I like constructive criticism, Craig! It gets the ol' brain juice running. Plus, since i'm a comment WHORE, I live to please.) |

yeah, i have cs2 and cs3 and psp 7, 9, 10, and 11, but for some reason, 9 had the .svg as the default. go figure

the computer version came out back in the 8-bit days. i had it on my C-64. turn based play. kinda fun, but limited. they could have done a lot more with it. and today, i'd do it in real time... 'Madden 08 real time Blood Bowl! This time, it's for real!'
