Kreallin, Kreallin, Kreallin~
![]() ![]() ![]() You saved me the other day on the beads graphic. No matter how pretty the beads.. it was the background and the bar that made or broke the image. And if it had not been for your HLS filter the whole image would have not turned out the way it did. ((((Your HSL filter is my lifesaver.)))) And let me tell you I tried on so many filters for those two areas (LOL)----> Nata, nothing worked without HSL. This filter is what brought the image together. I highly recommend lurkers put this one in their favorite filter list so that they can access it quickly for projects. More information on making the beads on the Herringbone Tapestry filter and the Diamonds Maker filter. HSL is a must have for graphics projects~ Click to view larger image. The HSL filter was used on the background and the bar of which the whole image would not have worked without them. ![]() |

![]() inspired by your comments, i've been looking at that filter again and re-working things a bit. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

You posted a nice example of a filter you were fixing up [ in your thread " just some odd images here and there" ] and used the pic of pam and said you were resubmitting - i liked your sample but this filter seemed to be a different effect, so wasn't sure - sorry for not being clearer, I'd just come from the other thread so the thought just continued

uhm, still not sure which one you're referring to. was it a fairly recent one, one of the dark ones of pam that steve liked? if so, that's a mod of 'high pass variation with color', which i may resubmit. right now, it needs some trimming and i hate trimming. i could probably make five different filters of that one, but i dont like doing it. so, i'm somewhat stuck on what to do with it. for myself, it's more or less perfect like it is, but the concensus around here is keep the effect within a fairly tight range and keep the number of controls to a minimum. for an artist like myself, that's just death. i like my filters large, unruly, full of surprises, with lots of controls
