Well this was something I never heard of until I Googled "Cyanotype".
Really a very interesting alternative to photo developing smile:D
The samples I found (such as at http://www.alternativephotography.com..._ware.html ) appear to be a little bit more cobalt blue than these, but I like the concept you are on with this, Ftomasch smile;)

Maybe you might add a companion filter for this one too in the "Chrysotypes" style??? I'm really going to have to read more about this, very interesting. Thank you for introducing it smile:)

Hallo Foxxee,
the colour of Cyanotypie can change between cyan and cobald.
I`d like to create old fine print themes in a digital manner.

Be aware that Chrysotypes is toxic. But of course it could be an issue for a new filter. Thank you for the hint.

You're welcome smile;)
I wasn't aware of any poisonous effects from Chrysotypes. Why would anyone work with that then? There must be another way to achieve the same look smile:?:
I take it that your FF filters are not toxic to use though... right? smile:D

Thought I'd add a sample I made. Took a negative of the puppy and put the actual filter effect over the top, offsetting it slightly and making the background transparent so you could see the negative image below smile:)

Hallo Foxxee,
your puppy looks nice. How old is she?
I don´t know anyone who works with Chrysotypes.
The problem is the developping process. The print is developped with a chloroaurate solution. The security warning for Chloroaurate says: „Exposure would cause irritation with only minor residual injury“ and „reacts with water in an unusual or dangerous manner“ (NFPA 704).
The prize for 1 Gramm is: more than 275$
I think these are arguments enugh to design a filter for FF
please look for my new filter „touch of aurum“ and „chrysotype“ (perhaps tomorrow)

Thanks for the information, ftomasch smile:D
Looking forward to it, and YES, I would say that you have a valid reason to create such a filter for FF. I'm not keen on spending that kind of money or taking the chance I might accidentally sneeze or spill water on it in some other way smile;)

Wish she was my puppy, but she's just a a free pic I grabbed off of a photo site smile:)

Well I've been having fun with this filter this morning, I only came across it by chance, it has no search words! But, I'm interested in photography - I thought I'd had history lessons in early photography and I didn't know any of this stuff. It's been good to read about. smile:)
