Why thank you so much Crapadilla and Craig... I'm happy both of you found something interesting in my filter. Anyway, i'd be happy to get some advices that could push this filter beyond the "interesting" level. I'd like say thank you to the rotation snippet creators (Uberzev, Voldemort) even so i'm not sure who is the initial one. |

hi nidi,
well, not sure what i could advise to raise this above the 'interesting' level. it is what it is, a tribal caves filter. it seems to do what it's supposed to do and that's about all you can ask of something. in other words, i like the filter, but i dont know how much it will be used. it's not every day i/we need tribal cave paintings, ya know? ![]() i will make one comment and this is based on a personal choice not a professional critique and it's also based on not having actually tried out the filter, too. so, some of this may already exist. one, make sure there are brightness controls. some of those presets are a bit dark and two, make sure there are controls for grit/grain/noise. some folks will like things less gritty while others may well want a lot on something like this. other than that, nothing. i like the irrgular designs. it suggests hand painting and thus backs up the tribal cave painting idea. oh, and one last thing. going from this filter to crop circles wouldnt be much of a stretch. (hint, hint) If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Hi Craig,
First of all thank you for responding me i very appreciate this. The main idea of this filter were the shapes themselves, the focus is on them and less on the texture, there exist a control that changes the creases on the wall and certainly i can add more sliders to give more control over the wall texture. Being a totally newbie at all this my main concern is less on the usage but more on learning as much as possible, and you always feel free to make any kind of critiques, professional or not. Regarding your hint, i already have an almost ready filter based on this one, that makes exactly the same shapes but as 3d croped rocks that looks vvery cool in my opinion. Unfortunately, the updtae to the current filter and the new filter, will have to wait a bit, till i'll be able to upload them... |

Records of drug-induced visions made the shamans of old, who retreated into these caves to trip the rift... ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Yes, they thought about it but very soon they found out the only one shaman that has lived in Siberia ever, left it to the west because of the communists. They located him in a coffeeshop in Amsterdam... ![]() |
