not sure where you got the name for this filter, but it makes no sense. how about something like 'crayon melt' or 'paint mix' or something more descriptive. it's already hard to find certain filters out of the 6000+ that exist. why make it tougher? If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

not mad, just that we've got 6000+ filters and many are labeled such that they are difficult to find when you want them.
now, david, i know you've already gotten my message here, so this is for everyone else:
if you name a filter 'noisy rock' and someone is looking for a rock filter, they 're likely to go to the 'stone' category and look under 'rock'. so, they wont see your filter. the right name would have been 'rock - noisy'. then, someone looking for 'rock' would see your filter.
so, this convention is both so that authors' filters will be seen and that users can find what they're looking for. pick the main thing that the filter is as the first part of your name, as in the example above; that filter is mainly a 'rock' filter, so that shld be the first part of the name. everything else is a sub-title or further description.
i really can appreciate the humor of some of the names and descriptions folks have used, but if you really want your filter seen and used, name it so folks can find it! If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Oh, also David, you don't need underscores in your filters, spaces work fine, and add a professional quality to the name, especially when coupled with Capital letters. Roses are #FF0000
Violets are #0000FF
All my base are belong to you.

----Maybe you can expand on the above some, and put a wiki entry about how to most-likely get HU's

Names are less important than the tags. I have a bunch of strangely named filters, but I make an effort to tag them up as much as possible.

yup, tags are important, too. but are, in actual fact, less important than the name to folks like me. i dont use the online library much. i have ALL of the filters, plus ALL of mine in FF all the time. and, there is no search feature in the program. therefore, filter names become supremely important. certainly, everyone isnt doing this this way, and probably not even most, but for those of us that do operate this way, names become VERY important to finding filters. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Hopefully the FF team will allow a filter search for downloaded libraries and the ability to add user folders so we won't have to worry about all this.
