Too bad about the 'Shell end' control though (makes the randomize quite useless). I tried to automate it but the eventual maximum size is controlled by 'Swirl', 'Swirl spacing' and 'Ribbed shell', and these do so in a non linear way. You can get far by mapping one control to the L of an 'Assemble HLS' and remapping that with the other controls. But it got a bit too complicated smile:p

Congrats on the EP!

Looks like 'proof of concept' type filters that showcase the versatility aspect of FF are becoming 'en vogue' with the editors lately... smile;) smile:D

Love the filter, only slight concern is with the lip of the shell, doesn't seem to blend well, but again wonderful filter. smile:D

The default preset looks like a chocolate/white chocolate mix ammonite to me... deliciously yummy! smile;)

Not only, look:


"relief" (dark) line of the inner spiral on the shell must be lighter.

The inner side was made lighter by removing one of invert components.

I'm about to update: I changed the lip, the bump map and added the snippets in the description. I just want to put in some nicer presets. Do you think I should change the default preset? I was thinking of giving the default one some more vivid colors.

I did a search in Google images but I don't think FF wants that in a filter.


... well I changed the preset to this, and kept the old one in the first eight of the presets.

there's no reason any of you cant start a 3d gallery of FF works. just use the User Gallery forum and start a thread. you could then ask FF to make it a sticky.
