Yep, we tried it on at least four monitors and it was a bit too dark for our eyes. Plus, personally I always prefer pictures with full tonal range, from blacks to white, with well-distributed grays in between.

That's amazing! Opening one of your filters is awe-inspiring (and VERY humbling!) I was going to say how I hoped to be this good one day but if you keep raising the bar like this I'll never catch up!

Thanks for the inspiration.

P.S. Vladimir: You should give him two free licenses! smile:D This kind of work (no offense to the other great work being done around here) is such great advertising. I don't know what kind of marketing you guys are planning on doing but pieces like these (especially branded "Forged in FF" or somesuch thing) will make FF even more attractive. Just two cents.

angel, VERY nice work!

vlad, doom3 is dark, even before they turn out the lights and you start using a flashlight. so angel's work here is actually pretty spot-on. i usually ended up turning up my gamma on my monitor when playing the thing just because of all that 'mood' they incorporated. i do like your adjustment. it's much more viewable.

and angel, i've noticed a lot of your textures. they are very reminiscent of 'Total Annihilation' textures, especially the metals. very nice smile:)

Yeah, this is great! I've already used it in a half-life 2 mod I'm working on, I modified the center logo a little, but this is probably the best filter I have!

If I have done a mod on this filter - should I post it to this thread? I can't submit it as it has too many options (breaks the 20 rule)

hmmm, why was this filter never given an editor's pick? surely, it's one of the best texture filters in the library.
