Love the stars. If you could figure out a way to make the mountains look more 3D instead of like cutouts, it would be really slick. It does have kind of a nice cartoony/stylistic look to it now, though.

I attempted a wee bit to put a little more Z into the mountains with some gradient, but it really had only a marginal affect at best. I'll see if I can tweak it a little. I a descent solution would take an enormous number of components to get the desired look.

You know its great the way it is IMHO. Its got a certain style that reminds me of the old stop-motion animation Christmas specials with "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer".
Its got a lot of charm to it the way it is. Keep this version! Definitely getting downloaded ![]() |

i agree, john. very nice. lots of depth in this one, foreground to background.
and wouldnt this one be perfect to add some of CF's anaglyph stuff to. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Oh! I like! I especially admire how you got the cross stars in there too and the lake looks so nice and peacful. I almost imagine one of those Coca-Cola polar bears to walk across the scene -- and maul a penguin, ahahah ^_^
Now that jitspoe mentions it, it seems that nobody has created a filter yet that makes selected areas of the image that stand out look like cut out cardboard or pop up book pieces -- that would be an interesting effect! -Zephos |

This reminds me of a gorgeous track by Vangelis titled "Antarctica", appropriately enough. Looks pretty nice, I like these landscape-ish filters. How long it is before someone makes a floating island one for Roger Dean-type effects?
![]() But on-topic, I'd like to see an iceberg slider or something like that. Great work! I'm enjoying using Filter Forge to create http://torley.com/textures |

It's awesome! Ever thought about making an alike filter, but with forest?
What would be useful in this filter is changing of colors/gradients of sky water and "mountains", and maybe option for removing starts at all. I'm going to certainly find use for this one. "Verum, sine mendacio, certum et verissimum..." |
