Thanks DJI. I try my best.
Many times, when I see some interesting picture, I think 'May I do it in Filter Forge?'. And I try. Ha! Ha! |

Sure I will like them. I'll let you know.
I have a lot of filters that I did not finished since FF6. I will work on this and will upload them. visit https://gisoft.ca |

I had missed this excellent and well done filter that gives this perfect and lovely Op Art, and you had the patience to duplicate each time and rotate carefully each one to get the frames correctly positioned.
Awesome work Here is showing how when you duplicate the amount using the size/Pixels and using a corresponding resolution in New Image setting, it will create perfect seamless patterns ![]() |

I had the idea that as it is done in FF, it could also be used your awesome and carefully done work to make one of the stripes filled with images, and as the shape is built, the best option is the white ones
I have added a color control and rotated manually the output each one of 18 white lines so it would like realistic and true ![]() |

and if instead of the spectrum, you use the preset 1 of my own Warp into unknown lines it will rotate the 18 stripes I made in this way

Going back to your original default filter, you have the option in the color control to put a color 1 or color 2, so I have actiavted the allow images in color control (as it only allows plain colors) and loaded the result from my Warp filter shown here above and put it on Color 1
Here is not rotated the colors as they are just overlay and replace the white stripes color ![]() |

The advantage of activating the allow images of the Color 1 and 2 is that you can for example use textures as shown here with this gold background texture

Sorry that I did not upload correctly the filter
Please, if wanted more information, read the about tab included in the filter Here it is available below for FF 9 with 53 presets Now the color control allows to load images and the bits related to each of the stripes will be rotated accordingly, as shown above. 1 - IMPORTANT I have to say that the option of modifying the Polygon sides, will ONLY work sometimes, as it will break the filter in some of the presets, and is better used as a single shape, or with some of the Particle modes 3-8 options 2 - IMPORTANT 2 - If you activate the Single shape, it will ONLY show the single shape and you can not change the Particle select 3 - The Spectrum component if activated will replace the Color control 1, so you need to change the color 2 as you want and need 4 - If you want you can also try to use my own Spectrum Warp into unknown lines that is also included, BUT you can only use it if you replace in the filter editor the Spectrum component with the result of the blend mode that is near, BE AWARE that this will add a lot of new additional setting to the filter, so this is why I did not connect it by default. I worked on your base, making this different version.
Having the chance to use different polygons would be nice, but for every different polygon you would need completely different settings, if you really want that they match like I did with the squares. Then it may not be possible in 1 single filter. I added the single shapes to the particles list. Then, when you select the particles for the bomber, the last 4 particles are single shapes. I used your Spectrum Warp. It is very nice. I put it into a group, allowing only essential customization. This way there are not too many controls. Q-Rotor Color with Images Rev.ffxml |

Thanks very much, for considering the suggestions I made and you did like to add the other features and have made a great update and well done update from my filter and is better than mine and with the new presets that are well done. Glad it was useful. Although I think that it would be good also to have some of the black and white presets you had on your original filter.
Of course I have already seen that to have different polygons IF you want to be able to have more than one single shape is not possible and I did not want that you made it As far as I know the only way to make it in one single filter is by only allowing to have just one single shape. |

As
So here is the test for using a single shape with triangle in a fractal tiling and having one color for each of the stripes. I tried that each of the sides triangle would be facing one to the right and one to the left, but is not possible because from my own point of view and taste, the design is spoiled if you do it, so I have to leave both facing to right ![]() |

Instead of the triangle and using your original default square design but with Individual Colors for each stripe and made it tiling into a fractal style using the awesome True pyramid tile by Voldemort

I have discovered something, and is that you can't use flip sometimes and need to use always Rotate instead
As I was trying to make a hexagon with Q-ROTOR and could not do it, and then I carefully reproduced what would really be rotating one triangle in the real world and then I found that the flip is not good in this case So here is the difference This is using the Flip that makes the "spike" shape appear when combining two triangles ![]() |

but this, for the triangles example above, you can not use rotate because what is wanted is to flip the orientation of the right side to the left, and this can not be done using rotate unless I may be missing something

Could you explain it a bit more what you mean, please Is maybe something like this shown here below? This is just a fast test and needs more fine tuning and sorry I have used Flip instead of rotate to make it faster for the top left side ![]() |

Using your own default filter preset 1 but additionally using the True pyramid tile by voldemort with a 5000x5000 you get this
