You're welcome smile:) Excellent use on that pic.....thank you very much for posting it smile:)

PS..... That pic got me thinking that a perspective.....gradually decreasing the ripples in size and frequency.....would be a perfect variant filter to this. Thanx again for that pic!!! smile:)

He was actually standing on a pier, but I liked the idea of him being thigh-high in the water instead. And it would be a nice extra to have that ability to add perspective too, though I still like it as is smile;)

Yeah, I'm going to have delve into volde's filters to figure out how to do it.....I think what I want is among his "infinite" series......

I think it was one of his last few samples he posted that gave me the idea, and besides, the Heron just seemed out of place perched on a pier smile:D

Actually I would, but I feel as though it's not fair I don't do more all the way around. I'd like to try and make samples from more authors too... but I'm still not sure if some may like me to or not. Not everyone returns a reply when I do, maybe they feel I'm being pushy. I can respect their feelings though, either way... they are the artist of their creation after all smile:)

Sorry I didn't catch your reply in this one, Jan.....got by me somehow.....please excusy smile:)

I don't know of any authors who wouldn't want sample pics posted in their filters.....and I wouldn't read anything into people's replies.....some authors are kinda arrogant and inconsiderate......and others rush around trying to do 15 million things online at once, space things, and end up looking inconsiderate.....like me in this string smile;) smile:)

.....and you could also incorporate some of your new stone work for the rocks, eh??? Maybe even that crystal/gem surface by Cap would make it pretty cool too (not that it isn't already smile:) ) ......and even that greenery one to make it look like a little botanical garden with a waterfall.....but now we're talking about an extremely slow filter, eh??? smile;) smile:)

now that i had thought of.

not sure which is the crystal/gem surface by cap filter. but, that one with moss, if uuk would isolate the moss, would be cool in the waterall. and yes, a whole botanical or japanese garden one would be cool as hell smile:)

and speed, we dohwn need no steeenking speed!

Craig, this one for the crystals/gems.....

http://www.filterforge.com/filters/4298.html

uuk's moss is really easy to isolate......take a peek at it......

......and this one by Ben Beckwith for the greenery......

ok, i remember the crystal one now. hmmm, could use it in small portions, perhaps. and yeah, the hanging ivy one would fit nicely and yes on the noise rock too. but, you're also right about the speed. throwing all those filters into the waterfall filter would weight it down pretty hard.

Well, this filter for the water ripples is very small.....along with the rocks......but I don't know about the greenery filter......

Yeah, I like the idea of crystals peeking out of the greenery......reflected off the water......

You could put different things on switches.....but I would just make variant filters with different waterfall-garden scapes......

yup, some good ideas there. you could even put the crystal underwater and let them show through. and i love the idea of adding the hanging ivy. would look great at the top of the scene along the rocks.

i've got some more landscape ideas for filters, and i'll eventually get back to the waterfall one too. so, if you see or think of any more that would fit, feel free to post em up. i've been thinking of re-doing the water itself. looks too 'fat' and not grainy/smokey/spray-y enough to me now, at least in some of the presets. and i really need a rubber duck floating in the water smile;)

I was just thinking......maybe one with just the rippled water on bottom, shore with rock/crystal/gem outcroppings, and the greenery growing around the outcroppings......with no waterfall???

good ideas, steve. there's absolutely tons of variants one could do. i do have one i started a while back that i may return to. it was actually a variant of the waterfall without the waterfall, so, we're on the same page again smile:)

and carl, i was thinking that i seem to recall someone making a 'fish' filter a while back. so, baby steps here. the mer-folk will have to wait. but, do feel free to play in the water as it were. perhaps a nice shark fin would suffice for a while smile;) and, the palms trees arent that far-fetched smile;)
