I'm so sad, I generated a whole set of textures from this filter (which is a lot more awesome then the presets hint at) and accidentally deleted my presets ![]() ![]() SO awesome! But anyhow, I just thought I'd swing in and ask if you might be interested in updating this filter (make a new version- this one is pretty good as is). Some things I think it could really benefit from: 1) A bit finer details on the diffuse. Maybe a little bit sharper of b/w noise and less of the odd looking yellow stuff. 2) Some sort of hue control: I'd love to be able to add some color by means other than the light environment. 3) Sharpen up the details on the normal, it's a wee bit too smooth. Just a little bit though, this texture looks pretty awesome fairly clean. Don't think I'm sounding bossy, this is all just stuff I'd love to see, no pressure at all. I think you've got a possible HU on your hands though! Oh and if you pretty fix up caste concrete and make some lone bullet holes I'll weep with joy! Till next time homesnap! |

Hi Kg, Happy to work on it with what you want, will start fiddling tonight, I have done Bullet hole, but thought eula would be fixed quicker also not 100% happy with it, if you would like to make suggestions for the direction you would like it to go here is a sample pic, the B/G is transparent the life preserver isn't really there if you know what I mean

That's fantastic! If you really lookin' for nitpicks, I'd suggest you softened the fade to black near the center and added a similar dark/light pattern overlay you did for this http://www.filterforge.com/filters/2259.html. In my opinion, that would make this great looking metal bullet hole even better. And NP about the EULA, I'm cool with you keeping the filter till EULA is suitable. If they end up taking too long though I'd love to contact you privately and see what terms you want to arrange. I just want to use the filters for the game, I wouldn't be selling anything so that avoids the whole controversial stuff. Can't thank ya enough man! Also: Give this http://www.filterforge.com/filters/3647.html snippet a whirl, see if it makes things look more realistic. I've used real ambient occlusion in modeling and it makes an amazing difference in realism. |

HOT DOG! That looks awesome Carl! I can't wait to get started doing some big render jobs with this! With the extra control, I think I'm going to actually use this for both teams styles! Originally I was going to use the concrete molding for blue team and Mortex, another very nice filter (http://www.filterforge.com/filters/1715.html) for the red team. But now I'm thinking that I can get the differentiation in styles and colors that I need while still keeping the visual style similar.
Have you already submitted the filter Carl? I hope you got some awesome new presets, this has success written all over it! I can't wait till Monday when I can give it a whirl! I'll post some pics when I have them in-engine! |

You should give this one some more flattering presets and better cover image. The image I posted above was stock from this filter, your presets don't really show the true abilities!
