I was going to stay on topic as it seemed from elsewhere my straying off topic to be silly wasn't accepted too well. I thought of doing a thread in the discussion area, but then the spontanaity (sp?) that is in the threads might not be there, but who knows, now with a t-shirt that's worth a $1,000 worth of mulch appearing, I think we could have fun in a discussion thread.

I had a silk blouse that got me a very nice necklace from a boss. I'm slightly top heavy and the blouse just fit and with round pearl buttons and silky buttonholes, standing up straight and inhaling was an accident waiting to happen. My boss walked up to me and I stood up straight and inhaled, the top few buttons flew open and the boss smiled real big. Me, I turned bright red. Next day I received a very nice necklace. You guys are funny when it comes to women and their blouses and t-shirts. smile:D

Carl, you know that I am only playing with you and not being mean, right? smile:?:

So would anyone like to do a discussion thread with me where we can continue the decheekification of any and all who need it?

Of course I think you were very witty with your pink slider I had a good laugh - and I'm alway happy to be made fun of - admittedly some people want it to be all on topic and I am serious some of the time, but I wouldn't be here if it was all serious, so until I'm banned from the forum I'm going to have a laugh here and there smile;) of course I blame Steve he was the one who got me involved in the forum and he is still "Master Cheeky Bugger" smile:dgrin:

And no more talk of girly bit it just cruel smile:) smile;) smile:D

Was just an old t-shirt... don't know what the big deal was~ smile;) Seriously nothing special about this shirt at all~ Tight tee, but an old tee.. similar to the striped T I have in pics that I've put up here. I thought I was a mess... hair in bun, shirt backwards... early in the morning... and Revelation can verify I don't flirt (not my personality).

Not sure how much the mulch is worth... a city truck the size of a garbage truck... fully loaded with mulch... dumped in the driveway. Revelation had to jump the fence to get in the yard. LOL

He was shoveling till 9:30 last night... and didn't get thru half of it.

Discussion forum... ahhhh 'no'... lol... I think everyone in this forum remembers what happens to me when I post outside the User Gallery or Comment Forum... smile;) Those waters are full of sharks... (((I was flamed pretty bad... still getting the charcoal out of my hair))). smile;) I brought up an issue of copyright and ended up with a couple pages of people telling me I didn't luv filter forge... LOL. In fact there are a few people here at FF I don't talk to... hehe...

Sorry Carl:

Just being honest on what's going to keep me from the forum and making filters as much as I have been. I'm here but I'm also weeding and putting mulch down. There is no other way to explain the mulch but to be honest... because... this is not a pick up truck load... it's a mountain of mulch... LOL. If I don't explain the story then the amount of mulch is not realized.

Besides I'm not the flirty kind... you guys know that about me... I've been here since early spring. smile:D Although I luvs to play with witt... I just don't flirt~

So I should maybe avoid the discussion forum myself? I hate flamers.

they don't all like me though... smile:D

It's not always stuffy... but yes gets that way sometimes... and also good to keep filter promo's active... LOL. If someone is talking in your comment area or gallery forum thread then it doesn't fall so fast to the the thread graveyard.

Not everyone gets my humor either, smile:D In fact I recently put up a 'Photo Pox' filter that I thought was hillarious... and apparently only Foxxee and myself think so... as no one else has posted in the comment area (as of yesterday). Also on my Imeem page I have a playlist of British Music... some of it is widly funny. Oh.. and the Chipmunk playlist... LOL...

I haven't seen that filter, but then I haven't really looked at all the new filters the last two days. I've been watching the Big Brother live feeds... smile:blush:

The two weeks that I was really quiet here my filters got used a lot more than when I post here. Wonder if people are trying to tell me something. smile:D

I have almost everything ready now to promote my filters. I get distracted way too easy, but hopefully I will have it done in the next few days. Also have some pics to make using some of the filters here and some of my own. Those are just to post here.

I hardly ever listen to music or watch tv. Most of the time I just like quiet. For me art is better than music. Even as a little kid I would do art while the other kids played with toys.

Well, I like you as is, and the others who have been posting in this thread too.

Hardly listen to music? Oh girl you are missing out... I call it 'music therapy', smile;) Get a pair of head phones then you don't bother anyone when on your P.C. Imeem (my music site) has an International crowd... I have friends all over the world,,, France, Germany, Italy, ect...

Many of my playlists include a time period for American music so that others in other countries that don't know these songs get a chance to listen to them and hopefully understand why Americans still luv these old tunes. ((Playlists I've made)). If you ever want to take a listen just let me know because I do have songs that go back to the American 60's era. Also have International songs with translations (love and loss songs)... the British song list is a hoot though... and although I don't get into Rap music... you havn't heard rap till you've heard it by 'The Streets' (a british group). #5 on my British playlist (Your fit but you know it) http://temptressoffate.imeem.com/playlist/io3qkhzH/ and Crazy Beat right after it is funny too...among other songs on that list (I can't mention funny songs on that list and not mention 'Get your hands off my woman')... LOL (main page for my Imeem is www.temptressoffate.imeem.com) I put the Imeem site up with music while posting here or making filters. I have to have music. smile:D

Then he keeps coming back to knock on our door to ask me questions mostly about our trees, but at that time I've fixed my shirt and put a bra on. He offered to trim a tree branch and give mulch". I talked to him for a spell in the drieway (never invited him in).

Hardly listen to music?

I don't really like music that much. For me, art is my music. My Mother's side of the family were artists for who knows how many generations back. While the other kids in kindergarten were playing with toys, I looked forward each day to playing with the clay, coloring, drawing, and painting. (I didn't speak English back then so the teacher didn't know what I was saying and didn't realize that I could understand her, so she wouldn't try to make me play with the other kids and just let me have my way with the art supplies. Oh yeah baby...art supplies!!!)

Sound just doesn't do it for me. I do however like Pink Flloyd, music from the late 60's and the 70's.

Washington state.

I'm originally from the Pacific Northwest... (born in San Francisco... lived in Oregon and Washington state... however I've lived all over the country) was in the red zone of Mt. Saint Helens before it blew... family is in Aviation... logging with Sikorsky S-64 with a contract in that area.

I know I just lost some of you guys... Sikorsky S-64 is a 72 foot long Helicopter with 3 jet engines (the free worlds largest helicopter... Russia had a larger one but it wouldn't fly, LOL). ((I grew up around it actually... stories about it another time, promise)...

anyway... went back to Oregon and the mountain blew. Since the company had a contract in the area they could go in before the public could... (red zone)... I was asksed if I wanted to go and said 'Yes'...

Lots of memories in Washington State~

Many people see music as 'art'... maybe you'll add it to your love of art one day? To each his own. I grew up outside trasping around outside after a 72 foot helicopter... smile:D Not kidding. Setting towers in New Mexico and Arizona... logging operations in the Pacific Northwest... whereever the darn thing went... we went too.

Was fun though... I've always been a bit of a loner anyway... and I love the outdoors... good combinations for an artist soul.

Here are some Sikorsky links... the guys will propably enjoy these a bit more then the other women... take a peek though ... it really is an amazing helicopter. I have some personal photos of it... but would have to take a photo of a photo. (They are in albums).

And yes guys I said 'three jet engines'... the APU (Auxillary Power Unit... aka Elephants Ass) is used to power up the jet engines... same high pitched sound you hear when a commerical air liner is taking off.

http://rotored.arc.nasa.gov/activity/skycrane.html

In Erickson Aircrane Orange and Green colors. (Erickson Aircrane is the company my Dad worked for when I was a child,, and we went whereever this helicopter went)... That's what I grew up with,, LOL... so I'm not much of a girlie girl,, what can I say.. smile:D

LOL... and bam there it is... 'what we have in common'...

I was born at the Presidio of San Francsico 1963... military base in the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge that is now a National Park... two dogs buried in the pet cemetary there. Dad spent 20 years in the military as a helicopter mechanic before getting his AP lisence in L.A. to work in the private sector. When he got out of the service he got a job with Erickson Aircrane which moved us around more then the military.

Dad has a Purple Heart (wounded for his country)... and served three tours in 'Nam. (Tours... you go and come home that is one tour).

Quote
Love that copter! Did you get to ride in it?

LOL. I was in 4th grade when Dad started to work for Erickson Aircrane... and still worked for them when I left the nest. Of course I've riden in it. smile:D Lots of times. I grew up with it.

My Dad would climb on it,,, it would take off 50 feet up in the air with him under the blades. They have to do this to listen to the engine while it's in the air. I'd be on the ground watching my Dad in the air under the blades...

When it would take off I'd get close to it and jump in the air.. it would knock my legs out from under me.

Used to climb up it and play on it when it was on the ground. Sit on the tires... when not bothering my brothers.

I guess I don't like snakes because I was outdoors alot and... I remember many rattlesnakes that were killed because they came into 'human zone'. I see a snake I kill it. Told you not girlie girl. No cute pet snake for me... I see it... it dies. LOL My garden snakes seriously run and hide when they see me coming... I am mortal danger for them.

There are special pick up trucks designed with a hydraulic lift platform... push the button up and down... did that alot... see how many frogs will fit in a coke bottle (Lynn will hate me for that).... and of course my bike went off road before they had mountain bikes... got to swim in so many wonderful rivers and streams and traspe around... since the helicopter was always in remote places.

I was born on an army base in Nurenburg, Germany. My Father was US army, CWO W3, radar. He's buried at Arlington cemetary. He was in Viet Nam twice for a full year each time. He was an officer so the closest he really came to war was when the barracks next to him was hit. WWII he came after the war was over cuz he was only a small child when it was going on. smile:D

My first husband was USAF, but after our son died I left him. Our son is buried at Offutt AFB.

Paul was US Navy and after he got out he went into asbestos removal and then demolition. Now he drives truck for the company and spends most of the time just kicking back while the workers fill the cans on the back of the truck.

I was never into killing creatures, hence the name ahimsa.

That helicopter looks a little like a hornet...I like it. smile:D

I'd argue that this is a trusim on the brink of being a stereotype. But it brings us to an important point. Individuals with 'power over' attitudes are best avoided, regardless of gender. They are simply catastrophic relationship material and psychologically destructive, in my experience. What most women seem to have forgotten these days is a far deeper power sleeping within them: the ability to 'empower', which is diametrically opposed to 'having power over'. One seldom observes it in the young generation of women, who seem to be utterly obsessed with superficialities. Well, at least they retain the power to attract properly robotic counterparts... smile;) smile:D

Very slick Crapadilla~ smile:D

When I meet someone for the first time I don't see their gender... I see a human first, gender second... regardless of gender. I also see myself this way,,, human first gender second... however men rarely see a human first,,, they see gender first.

With that said...

The pressure for women to 'empower' and the standardized sterotype for men to do whatever they want in our society is not fair to women. If the younger generation of women need to shake loose some of the sterotypes then I say let the younger generation of men carry the load to 'empower' for a change. Humans are humans,,, some will empower and some won't... gender has nothing to do with it.

((I know it was just a joke,,, but I also couldn't help but comment on this one))... LOL.

Most women are simply claiming back their own power... not over others but a personal power over themselves. Society and men are threatened when women own their own power... it propably something society and men should lean to get used to... since our society has never had a problem with men owning their own power. smile:D smile:D smile:D

He was an officer so the closest he really came to war was when the barracks next to him was hit. WWII he came after the war was over cuz he was only a small child when it was going on.

I was never into killing creatures, hence the name ahimsa.

Well the frogs were small ones... could just shake them back out of the bottle... no frogs were harmed. Snakes though yes,,, have much to fear if I am around. Other then snakes I've never harmed a living thing.

He was in Viet Nam twice for a full year each time.

That is called 'two tours'.

Dad wasn't an officer... My grandfather was an officer in another war but that's another story~ smile:D My Grandmother and Grandfather both worked on the base at the Presidio of San Francisco... they bought a house in the city and when Dad when to 'Nam for his three tours we stayed lived at their house with my Mom, Grandparents and Uncle.

Dad worked on the Generals Helicopter (finest helicopter mechanic)... and he was also a gunner on the helicopter. (((Known as airsupport... and a movie has been made out of his calvary (the adventure is not a part of my fathers though and must have been between his tours).

That's how he was wounded... fire coming back from the ground.

Also the helicopters in 'Nam were used as expendable... seriously... they would send them into places and not expect them to come back out alive. (((I am very lucky and very blessed that my father came home at all))). My Dad's very brave and very tough,,, LOL.

That helicopter looks a little like a hornet...I like it.

It's a better way to log that doesn't strip the trees because they can selectively pull out trees. Verses stripping an entire area. They also use it to put out forest fires... as well as setting towers.

When my copy of FF runs out at the end of July I'll see if I can't take a photo of some pics in albums for ya. (((so glad you like the Aircrane)))

I am sorry to hear about your son... I live near Offutt btw... had to do a second glance when you said Offutt. ((((I'm so sorry)))))

Also was sorry to hear about your current situation... in the post on why you don't have your stuff... you are very strong and doing the right thing~

I was born on an army base in Nurenburg, Germany.

Before Dad went to Nam he was stationed in Germany. My parents were Newlyweds and Mom went with him. My mother speaks German btw... so there was no way she was staying in the states to miss that chance for travel.

Our family has a funny story from that time. Mom and Dad were on the Audoban (sp?)... they were lost,, it was dark,,, late... they had a German map. All the signs are in German because well,,, it's Germany. smile:D No problem because Mom speaks the language... Dad doesn't. Dad says... "We're lost"... Mom says "No we are not"... this goes back and forth till my Mother has had enough.

She throws the map out the window and says "Now we are lost". LOL. And that was the end of it. ((Newlyweds))

My older brother was born in Germany, he had a choice of citzenship when he turned 18.. he chose U.S. I was conceived in Germany... and when my Mother was 8 months pregnant she flew back to the states and had me at the Presidio of San Francisco.

I guess by now you've realized my nick 'Persidio' is a spin off my birth place~ smile:D

My little brother was born at the Presidio as well.
