Possession is a perfect song. I like the hidden song from Fumbling - the piano version of Hold On plus a bunch more of course. smile:)

Hmmm I don't know any of those band Persidio. There are no radio stations in my area and my budget for new music is zero so I pretty much listen to what I already have - most of which i'm tire of. For some reason I just don't get tired of Sarah. I guess I have a crush on her. smile:)

Hi Ron~

Imeem is free. I have playlists I've made on Imeem... Temptress of Fate is my nick there. I've dropped the URL in posts... here is the URL again in case you missed it www.temptressoffate.imeem.com My playlists are at the top of the page. There is enough music on Imeem that if you get tired you listen to another playlist. It's Free.

Anyway I did a search on Imeem for the song and found the full version here... (Possession)

http://rrrexxx.imeem.com/music/wVEsnNvd/possession/ ((listening to it now))

The groups I mentioned are from a playlist of British music that I made... all British bands... good stuff~

thanks, ahimsa, foxxee, ronviers, carl, jean, and steve smile:)

ron, the offset shld move the image within the orb... unless i got it wrong. but, i did test it at least once, so it shld work. the only purpose was to be able to center your image within the orb/geode. the tweak isnt perfect. it would be nice to refine it a bit more so that the colors of the image done shine so much on the inside of the orb/geode. a little would be ok, since the original orb tends to shine. so, having a bit of shine coming off an imported image would be ok. i just didnt have a lot of time this morning to tweak it up better and wanted to show you the possibility.

Duh! I thought... I don't know what I was thinking. Probably I was a little dazed by seeing the components moved around. It always freaks me out when I see components moved around - like someone has ransacked the house. I'm not complaining just noticing - I do the same thing any time I look as someone's filter.
Thanks for clearing that up for me Kraellin. smile:)

hehe, you're welcome. and yes, i re-ordered the components. a lot of folks condense their filters into tight blocks and that drives me nuts cause i cant see the flow of the work. so, i tend to always re-order filters when i have a look inside smile:)

Me too but I thought I should make frame versions for both of them in order to keep them together. The orb is probably a little more practical with some of the presets that do not knockout so much of the image. I selected this one because I thought it looked cool.

Maybe I should try to find an H. R. Giger alien fetus to stick in one of them – that would be cool. smile:)

BTW Kraellin I intended to credit you in the description with the idea for adding the image but forgot. I have said it before; giving credit where credit is due is a particularly easy thing to forge. I will follow up Tuesday with the proper description. smile:|

ROYALTY check. we'll check your reality. just put down a one with lots of zeros after it.

ah, that last one....kryptonite!

also, one thing that's been bugging me on this filter; you've got some sort of sudden glass thing going on at the bottom of the 'geode'. it seems inconsistent with the rest of the orb/geode. in the sphere, at the bottom, it just suddenly goes from rock to glass. any way to remove that or change it back to rock?

Ok Kraellin, I can remove it or turn it to stone. The problem with removing it is that, IMHO, that is suffers aesthetically. The reason I say that is that there is nothing linear about the base. I can whack it off (threshold), even in sophisticated (non-spherical) ways but it still leaves the orb floating when the shape says it should be landlocked.
The problem with turning either the base and or the outer shell of the orb to stone is that the level of complexity internally shoots up but more importantly the filter becomes much more difficult to control. It changes from being a filter where it is hard to find a user defined state that is not pleasant, to one where the acceptable states are rare and require a lot of tweaking.
The current configuration with the base a non-obtrusive abstract ‘place’ for the orb to exist may be the best way to do it. That said it is difficult for me to be objective about it and is why your opinion is so valuable.

Thanks

You know I was thinking...

when we do get free copies... and we will because we'll all get 3 HU's...

you should make an orb two of this and change the outter texture and structure of the globe~ What do you think?
