Ron has a dial up connection. He could not download the Maya demo... he asked if anyone here would burn the demo and mail to him.

I was the only one that offered to do it for him... and Revelation mailed it.

I think we've all been on dial up one time or another and we remember what that's like. Any large demo he can't download.

I can't remember the thread it was in... but I listed all the demo's and goodies on the first Cd... was too tired to post the contents of the smaller second Cd. Was up till 4 or 5am or so in the morning getting it burned so Revelation could grab it on his way out and mail at work.

It started out in one of my threads and a friend at the time emailed me if we could move the conversation because one of her filters needed attention .. so I went over there and continued to give Ron a play by play of what I was putting on the Cd. Then I started giving him 3D links and others joined in... I think it started out in Photo Pox and ended up in one of ahsimas filters... her favorite metal one.

We had a bad storm last night. Horzontial rain,, lots of lightening... pretty storm really. But we lost power for a few seconds on and off. No more storm.. but when I read your last post (Steve) I lost power... so just now got back on to reply. Hopefully we didn't have any power line damage.

I have a ton of car smilies ... the only car photo I had was the red corvette one I used for Revelations Imeem page. Unless you want to see photos of our old jeep... (but don't want to post those because most of them have me or my daughter in them) I'll stick to my smilie cars~

I thought you had HUs from Jffe for the free copy.....but you must not have taken them I hope you reconsider.....because I thought you were getting really good!!! If the offer no longer stands from jffe, then you can have mine!!!

I'm sorry I thought you knew this... it was the main reason I was making samples for him,,, because he could no longer make his own samples... and his filters are sooo good I wanted others to see how they were used.

I'm only going to be posting in my filters User Gallery and Commment threads... not my threads... the area my fitlers go into.. and also Revelations from now on. (((But you can always catch me in email)))

This is due to my own projects... learning Maya 3d of course... also... working on my web space and .php enabled gallery to show photos and maybe even showcase some of my filter examples if FF doesn't have a problem with it.. I'll check first... of course. As you know I know CSS and HTML... so I am now learning .PHP. as well as Maya. This means I won't have time to do samples for others besides myself or Revelations or post in any posts other then mine like I have been doing. I am hoping Steve or someone else can take the baton and post samples for your fitlers.

Ron... here's what I have so far on my .PHP gallery... if you are curious... http://persidio.net/coppermine/ the .PHP is powered by coppermine... I'm still in the baby stages of getting it all to come together of course,,, not useable yet.. and also I'll be making skinz for it and becoming active in that community in offering skinz... (I'll be using filters of my own and friends for skins...

That's what I'm up to... email me when you come up for air learning Maya (I start Maya on Monday)... I'm starting .PHP and working on this Gallery today.. then making an index page to link it to ect... I'll keep you posted in email. Just wanted to let you know as far as FF goes I'll only be in my own filter threads from now on... and Revelations...

I try. Unfortnatly I've been ingnoring some of my other hobbies like web design.. I have filters specifically made for triple table web designs with no HTML samples to show (havn't had the extra time)... and now Maya and now .php (((big headache, LOL)))... I'm thin on time...

Jamming to Imeem music playlist and working on a triple table tile design for my Chrome Art filter... will post a link to it when it's done... have a new filter working... will work on that tonight... almost done... Revelation has one he's been working very hard on as well... I think you'll like his new one Steve.

Yes you do Steve - thanks so much for the offer. And Carl and jffe too - you guys are the best. I want to earn the copy - it still could happen but there is one simple overriding fact, I am now a Maya man, 'all other priorities have been rescinded'.
But we are all moving in the same direction and we will all need FF no matter what. So I think the important thing is that we all stick together as we refine our individual skills. Maybe we can get FF to add a 3D forum for us so we can continue to make FF home while we are branching out and getting better. All the Maya forums I have found so far are uptight and all businessy. They will not let you play car trivia.

YOu're not the only one. First I stayed up all night trying to model a simple helmet but kept having to start over. Then I started having cat/kitten issues. I took a stool sample from Perfect (she has been loosing weight) and put it under the scope. She did not have worms so I treated her for UTI. The good news is that Maya PLE (personal learning edition) has nice tutorials that keep me moving forward.
My url is interboundgraphics.com. There is nothing there now but check back in 150 to 200 days I hope to have something posted worth looking at. No doubt the work will be done using FF textures and effects.
Since I’m not monitoring the forums now maybe you can email me if you create a new filter you’re particularly smitten with – or anything else for that matter.

The really amazing thing here is Maya. It swings the doors of creativity wide open. I’m not saying other packages are not as good or better but a lot of the 3D stuff will need to be learned regardless of implementation. It is difficult to finds something to compare it to – maybe the Microsoft operating system. I have found it has nodes in it, and you know I love connecting nodes, but I have just been plugging them in at random so far.

I'm not sure that will work on my desk... this desk just doesn't have much room between keyboard and edge. Your desk looks cozy... good thinking. The desk I have now I think I'm finally ready to get rid of.. I've had it since I was 16... yea I know,,, sentimental...

I've been busy updating and making filters... less forum chatting more filter making for me... don't forget you do have my email... I decided to start Maya next Monday so be sure to stay in touch.

Thanks for the desk tip... I'll try to figure out something on this end. It's a good idea.
