hehe, thanks, but i wouldnt hire me if i were running FF. i make too many mistakes and not enough textures besides, i'm a pain in vlad's butt dilla is the current golden boy. he's the one vlad shld hire and of course uber if he were around more. and then there's angelboii. he's in a class almost by himself. and we've also got some up and coming technical boys that are pretty much re-writing what a texture shld be, ronviers and sphinx come to mind there. i'm constantly impressed by all the talent. me, i'm a hack. i throw together things hit and miss and mostly on the effect side until something floats fairly well. my ratio of HU to submissions is fairly low, like one in six or something and some that i've submitted shldnt even be there. i look back on some of those and go, 'what was i thinking?'.

and you, you are too much like me. we like the wilder side, the colorful, the unusual, the photo-art stuff and so on. textures are somewhat mundane, staid, prim, proper, technical. it takes talent to make a good one, but it's just not what interests us as much, i think. forgive me for evaluating here. i dont mean to limit you or pidgeon hole you into some class of items, but that's kind of how i look at it. it's like that comment i made before; some of us are technical writers and some are artistic writers. both have a place, both can have and need talent, but it's an entirely different approach and philosophy.

vlad is a techincal person, and so are dilla and some others. you, me and some others are more the artistic type. both can end up with very stellar products, but it's just a different breed of the same animal. ya know?

yep. i gave up on EP's a while back, especially when sherri didnt get any and her effect filters were some of the best.
