 , just when I added that it evened out the brightness slider a bit more  . But I suppose I could do yet another update... Grrrr...*coughs*

Yup. If you look closely at the article behind the 'clicky' you'll see that the horizontal 'profile gradient' does not contribute to the elevation gradient at all. Speaking of the 'brightness' slider you added... check the 'Lighting' tab of the Filter Controls. There's a 'Brightness' slider there which basically does the same thing...

Okay sorted and sent before I get distracted with something else. Mind I do have a issue with a filter am working on. Trying to make a filter that uses an existing image in it, but I need to shrink that image and fit it in a gap..
Oh lol you updated that post just as I finished typing this lol! My bad it was from Craig lol! I know but might as well get it all nice and shiny. I could aways send it back in if the updates not up to scratch. Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

Mind that bit about the 5,000 Filter you mentioned in another post was the first I heard of that.. Mind I haven't been reading a lot of the forums the past few weeks... GL to whomever wins the prize though and to all them trying for it.Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

Ahh yep bonus of talking to yourself is if you don't like what you hear you can ignore it without the voice saying 'Well I told you so' or 'I warned you not to do that'.. um hold on.. then again I don't know if the little voices say things like that too you. just been trying to separate the height maps from diffuse tree, cut off dead limbs, removing the blurs after perlin, hiding any kaleidoscope, mass deletion |

Hi Ronjonnie, thanks , am still learning myself. I tend to go for the.. sssh don't tell anyone this... have fun and see what I can create method of filter forging. I sometimes have a plan but 9 times out of 10 I get carried away and end up forgetting my original intention.
Ooo, fun will have to make a pink kaleidoscope, bluring perlin noise filter just for you Carl Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

LMAO I'm way ahead of you on that one, I like putting in a sharpen after the blur then blurring it again - is there a limit to the amount of components you can put in a filter, I haven't hit it yet and believe me I've tried

Thanks David, was fun to make and a learning curve afterwards too, mind wouldn't have got the EP without help from Dilla.

Think the original one did have a choice of engraving or not but most liked the engraving more and I was asked to get rid of most of the functions and focus on that particular style, and that's why it got an Editors Pick . Mind I did make this back in 2008/9 or somewhere around then.Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)
