Well you could always put them on a switch and have the user switch between them..But that includes more reading..

i like that. how about using a blend set to all blacks? seems that would do the same thing. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Seems like it would be the same to me. I just did a test and it looks like using a non-gradient way to get black is .954% faster. Which may translate to more on a more complicated filter - or it could just be an anomaly from me in doing enough iterations of the test.

I just added frame into the mix and it seems to perform the same a gradient.

Yep you could use any component for the black...You could even use a threshold as long as its all black.. Don't know about the speed thou as far as which one may be quicker.. Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

blends are pretty damn fast, if i remember the speed tests correctly.
