My first filter! I definitely think there is room for improvement, so if anyone has any comments/critique, please let me know . Also, my normal map did not really come out so well(noticed after the upload). Is that based solely off the height input?

Sorry that nobody has made any comment on this and this is your first filter, but I have not done any comment because I personally do not like much this kind of textures, and is not that is badly done.
I think that is well done for someone that would like this texture.

Nice effort on your first filter, yeah your normal is lifeless, yep it's height input only. The good thing is that you can resubmit an update to fix any little problem. Corrugated steel has a more regular ripple as the profile, is my only criticism

I have found a new way to use this filter in a better way that I like more and is more useful.
Allow to use custom images instead of only color for the rust.
The change is really very easy for what I am suggesting, as you will ONLY need to change the color control component of the rust color to allow images.

And here is one simple example using the FF Lionfish
I like how this filter can make a weathered corrugated texture over the image source

Should probably just use image node instead of color control. Color control ignores width and height and that's kinda ugly in a way.

I went super remix mode and tried something radically different.
Of course, in answering both interests I also added "the SpaceRay thing" or better known as "obsessively overlaying images on 80% of the filters which originally have no image input." The image corresponds with the metal work because you won't get a perfectly flat painting on something bumpy.
Regarding the bump map, it doesn't work because your bump map doesn't have enough bevel. Typically hard-contrasting edges are not understood correctly when interpreted for render.

Hey Skybase, in your version is the image corosion making it run down too, or is just the holes and rough look?

It's both. There's some paint dripping and corrosion happening. Just difficult balancing the two.

I like your example and is well done for the rusted corrugation, but I am sorry but I prefer the version above with less corrugation, but as you have said well, this is a radical different remix.

Oh yes!! this is true thanks for giving a name to my style Is true that I am frequently looking to change the controls of colors to images and see what happens and how does it look with images instead of plain colors or plain textures.
AND you really have seen very little, you have not seen all the filters experiments that I have in the "my filters" to see what happens when you change the usual color for images and you can get surprising results sometimes.
