WOW!! I never expected that this project and experiment would give such a wonderful and great result that I love it much.
Thanks really much for making this gem beauty and admire the knowdledge and skills that you have to be able to make this kind of things that are much beyond all the "normal" and "usual" filter that can be found. As it can be seen here, this can get very complex and well done graphics ![]() |

What I wonder and do not know is what most of the FF filter creator do NOT want to give access to the "Allow images" when they aubmit a filter to the library, I agree and understand that sometimes the result would be bad and not good, but others times like it happens in this filters, the result could be interesting, and I do not mean that necessarily to allow images in every single setting, but in the ones that could be possible to use and get a good result.

This is interesting, and I think its wonderful, but is there some way that the bezier handles and control points could be selectable and controlled with a curve control component? or I saw a video of a new node based photo editor/paint program being developed and in the video you see the guy selecting a rectangular selection by clicking and dragging on the preview. see here Imagine if those control points and bezier handles could be selected and manipulated on the preview window!

FF doesn't have suitable control components for that, even the bezier curve control is too limited for this purpose. The only way I can think of to do this is to write a separate application that can be used to draw the shapes and which generates something that can be read by FF (and the only thing that seems possible is ffxml, for FF doesn't import clipboard information from outside the application). I do have the idea of how to do it, now if I only had the time! An easier thing would be to modify the script to use mathematical formulas instead of random numbers. This way you would get much more pleasing shapes, although no real user input. |

I'm not a programmer so I'm looking at this fr om a completely artistic end user way. more pleasing shapes would definitely be helpful. I experimented with feeding the vector shape into a kalideoscope component and got some interesting patterns and being able to control the line width and colour was a really nice option. I wound up turning the bezier handles off, but I think it is interesting to be able to see that there are vector paths there. The wheels are begining to turn here, and I'm begining to think of interesting things to try
![]() I was going to attach a sample pattern but for some reason it won't work. is there a size lim it? |

And how would I modify the script with these mathematical formulas? What mathematical formulas? If it is not easy, perhaps and as a suggestion would be good that you could submit a new modified filter with these mathematical formulas included and so it could be done such beautiful shapes as the one you have shown here
Also, I am not a programmer at all, and do not know how to make a script, I could only modify it if you tell me how, and as angelize tells, I also look this from an artistic end user way, and although I love and like very much the results from the "Random Bezier curves" and think it gives beautiful and useful results, would be good also to have another filter that could make different shapes too.
Good Idea!! Thank, I have not thought about it, I have also tried it and is true that some interesting pattern can be done, although they are different and more geometric and organized, and I like more the "chaos" generated by the original filter, but anyway is good to know that this is possible to have the kaleidoscope version too.
Yes the size lim it for any image that you upload to the forum is 500Kbytes, when I want to upload something I have to reduce the compression if needed to be below or equal to 500Kb |

Love much this filter and I have thought that the solid colors could be replaced also by images, and I want to suggest that this filter could be updated to allow images in the Background color, Line Color and Fill color.
This way you could also fill these ones with textures, patterns, photos and also have multiple lines colors if you would like. And so this would be even more useful and have even more possible uses. This is just a suggestion and one idea that does not change anything from the filter, and is very easy to do, and I would like to use the official updated version instead of my own modified one, for the usage rank reward to ThreeDee Here is one example I have made ![]() |

ThreeDee have suggested a modification of this filter to have more different shapes
As this filter is all based on a script, I would like to know how would be possible to modify the script to use mathematical formulas instead of random numbers? I mean what part of the script is needed to modify to add these formulas, and what part is needed to be changed. And also what kind of mathematical formulas could be used, as there is a huge amount of them available, from simple to complex. Sorry for my low knowledge of both things, scripts and math formulas |

I have used this great and awesome filter to make a benchmark render time test that you can see in in this thread here
Also I have made another example to show here ![]() |

Want to thanks a million to ThreeDee for creating this filter that is all made with scripting and admire much that you are able to make this awesome and creative thing with LUA and that it gives such a wonderful result
I still love much this very original, creative, unusual and amazing artistic creation for making these original shapes. Is a pity that I did not have time to explore more and use this more in different ways as it has a great potential for beautiful and interesting things Apart from using the filter as it already is that offer a lot of variables and countless variations and possible results, I thought now that it these would be also good to be used with blend modes I have just made a test just adding a rotate and blend component and it looks very good as shown here below, and this is a very quick test ![]() |

As said in previous post, I want to thanks a millon to ThreeDee for making this as now I have thought that this can be further developed and modified as it has a huge potential to do many other possible things differently
I have thought that it could be also used in 5 other ways and even mix them together WAY 1 - REPLACE PLAIN COLOR WITH IMAGES - As I have already told above already in a previous post, Instead of the plain colors it could also alternatively be used bits of images filling the shapes in some creative way, and you have some plain colors or all images WAY 2 - USE KALEIDOSCOPE - I have tried myself and you can get unusual and surprisingly cool things when you can try to use the Kaleidoscope component to get other unusual and abstract shapes that are made from the original one WAY 3 - USE BLEND MODES TO BLEND 2 OR 3 RANDOM BEZIERS You can for example 2 or 3 different design with different settings and mix them together with the same or different blend modes WAY 4 - MULTIPLY THE DESIGN AND MAKE A COLLAGE OR PATTERN - You can also instead of having just one single design, have multiple ones, maybe in same or different sizes, and maybe using different colors, or arranged to make a pattern. Also you could have multiple random beziers in different colors and sizes and use blend modes to combine them. You could use for example bomber for this or other ways. WAY 5 - USE THE RESULT AS BASE FOR ANOTHER FF FILTER - You can render the result and then use it as a base source for any other filter from the library to modify the style of it, or create something different Also it could be used as source for bomber component and have lots of different boards in a artistic work MIX OF WAYS You can also additionally mix the ways together and choose the amount of ways you may like and COMBINE them together to create even more things, for example, change the shape to a square, and then use Kaleidoscope and then replace the plain colors with images, or just use two of the ways together, you decide |
