Possible suggestions for GF Spirograph and Cutout Generator-Ghislaine

I want to to give some possible suggestions for GF Spirograph and Cutout Generator by Ghislaine

Of course that the suggestions below are ONLY that, and you are totally free to do whatever you want with the filter, and it is totally up to you to do it as you want, and does not need to be like I suggest.

ADD OPTIONAL COLOR CONTROL FOR COLORIZING AT THE END

I want to suggest that you could add an optional color control with a multiply blend mode at the end of the components so you could add the source colors to the final spirograph design without scaling or destroying it in the middle process. To do this right and get a good result, you have to choose a white color as color control, so then at the end the colors of the final source image are not modified.

SPECTRUM COLORIZING

Another suggestion is that you could add an optional Spectrum colorizing as option and a checkbox to change from the source color control to this spectrum gradients and give some controls over the spectrum as rotation or repeat.

COLORIZE EACH OF THE ITERATION INDEPENDENTLY

Now all the spirography has the same color but maybe it could be done that alternatively and optionally each of the iterations could have a different color as seen in my Spirograph Break Out

USE MORE COMPONENTS AND NOT ONLY FREE POLYGON

Also I have seen that this has a source selector to choose different style, BUT all of them are using the same Free Polygon component, and I want to suggest that you also could give more choice with other components too.

ADD A SQUASH CONTROL SLIDER

In the Free Polygon there is a Squash setting, and I have tried it and gives cool and interesting results too, and I think it would be good and useful to have a control in the settings tab for this, and you would only need one control, as the free polygon component are exclusive, I mean, only works one of them each time.

ADD A ZOOM TO THE WHOLE DESIGN

As it is now, all the designs are always contained inside the frame and no part of them are missing, and I can suggest to add an scale component at the end (before the color control I suggested at the end), and be able to use this as a zoom and be able to "travel" inside the spirograph design.

ADD SHADES BETWEEN THE SPIROGRAPH WIRES

In this case is better to show it with an example than explaining it

I am very sorry and I am feeling bad and regret it that I have made you feel you bad, because I never thought that this could be something bad for you, and I am sorry if I have explained it badly and missed out some important things that I think that maybe you have misunderstood in my suggestions and will explain why below

I was going to show my suggestions with a thumbnail image of what I have done already to have an example for you to see and did not it as I thought that I was "breaking" your filter and then did not do it, but now I think that I should have done it to avoid the possible confusion of considering this a request list.

Maybe I should have explained and put also that I have already made myself most of these suggestion and that is NOT at all a request list, and I should have thought that this could be a basic filter as you have already done before with others, and then you would make other more complex versions with other features.

BUT I think that maybe the right things is that I should NOT make any other suggestion to any filter of any author

Well, I am NOT asking you in anyway to do it, and this is NOT at all a REQUEST list for you to make it for ME, because this is not at all my intention as I have already made myself and tested most of this suggestions (only have not done the shades and the colorization of individual threads) and some of these are very easy things to do, but as said it is totally up to you to make them, as it is YOUR filter and not mine.

I am happy with the basic model that you have done and is great, clever and well done, and like it, is very good to learn, but I have thought wrongly that it was perhaps too basic considering what all the beautiful things you have done already before and what can be done with the loops now, although of course that doing spirography with loops is NOT the same as you have done them before, and you have to do them in another way.

I agree with you that this filter can give you wings to make more complex designs and with further features, and I like it as a basic filter.

Maybe the right thing is to NOT suggest any possible changes, and do not gives ideas, as they could be considered

Well, as already said above, I have already tried most of them myself because when testing your filter I found that when loading a image into the color control it was scaled too much and I wanted to know why this was happening and went inside, and then saw what was happening, and then also have seen the well done and good work you have done and that this had a great potential to add many other new things, and had the bad idea of suggesting all this things above.

Yes, is true that this is not the first time, but there is something important that makes the big difference, in others comments I have made before I was really requesting in some way that you could add my suggestions to your filter as I did not know how to do it, OR I knew but was feeling that you could share a version with this thing included, BUT as it has passed already more than 1 year since that, now things have changed and I have learnt more about FF, and I now know that I can´t request others to do things with their own filters, and this why is was just ONLY suggesting it.

I can forget about all the sugestions, because you are free to do whatever you want with YOUR filter, and I am not anyone to tell you what to do, and it´s up to you to share or not in your filter some of the things I may like that others could have in your filter.

Hope and wish to see many more good, creative, nice and original filters you make, BUT not because I want them myself, as anyone in the forum is free to share or not the filters they make and I thanks you for doing it if you want.
