ATTENTION :
- Setting the Final Selector on 1 and the Result Selector on 11, you have the chance to view your choice for the Source Distortion. - Setting the Final Selector on 1 and the Result Selector on 12, you have the chance to view your choice for the Source Mode. I thought that giving the chance to the users to easily view what happens to the main image/source before to reach the final result could help them to have a better understanding of their choices. |

Thanks to Skybase and SpaceRay for the idea of the connected pavements. Skybase idea of using component result as source for same component

Thanks DJI. When does it happen?
Try to wait a few minutes without clicking other things. It should be fine. Let's firstly say that the filter doesn't contain any Map Script or Curve Script component, so it is safe. It doesn't also contain typically slow components, as Bomber, Smudge, Blur. The slowest ones are Median, Percentile, Minimum, and they are set on very light way, so the process is fast. The execution of the filter is very fast too. Even I have a very normal and old computer, in about 30 seconds I get the result. It isn't even a too complex filter. You can see from the image below. I also saw that the filter slows down doing the following things : - Going from this filter to another filter. - Opening/closing the filter editor. It happens with other filters too, and I don't know the reason. I guess Filter Forge simply gets busy doing something, but what? If it was a slow filter, I would say that it is the filter itself, too big and slow. But, as I said, the execution of the filter is very fast, so it may be something about Filter Forge system or way of working. ![]() |

I don't think all the bugs are out of this new software.

Hi Erik Pedersen. Thank you for your nice comment.
![]() I think making something similar to Substrate should be possible. I'll do some test. Maybe I can make something at least near to what you want. ![]() |

I've been trying to make substrate styled filter for a while but the current method involves jumbling previous iterations of tiles which once in a while yields overlapping motar lines, which is irritating to see. So I'm trying to fix it with the tiles plus. [edit] I think there's a better way to generate outlines after generating the quadrants. substrate obviously works differently so I can't do that in FF.

Erik. I'm posting a first attempt to make something similar to what you asked. It should appear in the library just now or tomorrow.
![]() I may do an update after, if I get some better idea. |
