I'm delighted to see Carl back again. 
This filter is amazing, and I can't stop experimenting with it. Here is a rendering of a simple flower image with the default preset.

Filter has an update - on the UI click Tools > Filter Update and select the filter. The update allows you now to move the splatter placement and has a soft choice for the base paint.

Very nice effect combining "splat" with edges etc. The power of this filter lies in the fact that you don't have to work that hard to get a good result. Math meets art meets psychedelia. |

This remembers me in some way to the the Gorilla filter by Carl, although I know, that he does not want to tell about this deleted filter, sorry, but I want to tell that you are able to make really good and well done very artistic and creative filters that gives a great effect
When looking at the list of Carl filters, there are many of my favorites and that I like most done by him

In the future with "Romancing the Gorilla" if I can get it to work properly will have a rebirth, busy at moment organizing and doing new work for a exhibition, sucks all of my time. Thanks Spaceray for your generous words and ongoing support. |

I've been out of the loop the last few months and almost missed this filter. Another beauty from the master.
I always love your filters Carl, because I feel like I am painting on my images instead of applying a filter. They have such richness and depth. Thank you my friend for sharing one more gem with us. You rock. |

I agree much with raabix, Carl is able to create such artistic filters that pushes the level of creativity and is able to show what can FF do well
