Glad you find it useful.. smile;) smile:)
You can also load an image (settings image) without a transparent background...Might have to play with the amount and spread of the image but there are more abstracts that result..This was a landscape image with dirt, grass and a sky...

Haven't had time to play with this one yet, but it looks yummy from the presets. I really like the first version of this filter so I'm sure I'll like this one. Thanks my friend. smile;)

Thanks SR....For more fun render some images from some of the filters in the library and then use those for this filter.....I used Ronjonie Gold River 1 and rendered out some images...I then used those for some more abstract fun....Needed to try some gold... smile;) smile:)

Yet even more fun is thinking about the color scheme that you want for your abstract....Combining two filters together such as the filter above with Kochubeys Hipster Background I cut a little square out to have some gold around the middle.....First image is the two results combined then the second is the expression square.. smile;)

lol......Thanks rabbix thats what I was trying for.. smile;) smile:) ...

Other ways to bring more color to the abstract is take multi images and composite them together before loading them into this filter......Kinda like the above moethod.....I chose three images and combined them in one image below....

I then loaded the above image into the settings section of this filter and the result was more color and variations....

Please, can you be so kind to explain how the filter takes or chooses the colors from the source base image ?
I want to be able to use more your wonderful and awesome filter, but I am sorry that I could not still understand how it works as I get weird results, that are good but not what expected or supossed to be, because I really do not know what to expect

I really love the very realistic and amazing brush paint strokes that are generated.

Thanks very much

Choose your image base in the settings section for the colors and then open the same image through the menus to keep the same size as the loaded image. It just looks better when doing this. You can edit the image and look at the section in the image below to see how the colors in the image are processed.

Here is a quick video of playing with this filter. I was using one image and getting different abstracts. Using Expression Square 2

When saving the image I usually set the AA to all pixels and 17 samples. Gives a nice smooth image in the finally rendered result.
You can find another sample HERE

I have remembered about this awesome and amazing filter and have thought that this is a generative excelent realistic brush strokes could be used in another possible way

I mean that it could be added an optional image that could be used as overlay of this awesome designs, and so it could modify optionally the final result and have a blend mode to choose what would be best depending on the overlay source image

Here below is a fast example I made, although could be done in a different way

You can enable or disable the overlay and when enabled, you can choose a blend mode. For this to happen the Background on first blend mode must be transparent with Alpha = 0 and the shown remapping

If you want I can upload the modified filter
