Many times I did filters that generated image effects.
They are very impressive at a first glance, but, at the end, the final result depends on the image. If the image, for some reason (too complex, not enough colorful, too small, etc.) is not fitting, the result is not nice as in the examples.
Then I thought to do more things that were independent from the image. They may sometimes be less impressive, but the result is clearer and they may also be easier to use.
