Hi dijidave!
I'm happy you like my filters.
The chance to select seamless tiling or not depends on the components.
Some of the components that we use for making the filters are accepted for the seamless option and others not. It may be a limit in the program, or it may be done by purpose to avoid strange results.
Even a filter has no seamless option, anyway it can work on big areas (larger than 600x600) repeating the pattern or applying the effect.
Instead if you have a limited area where the filter works, this can be caused by one of these two reasons:
- The first may be the filter construction.
This case, the filter effect simply ends, and beyond that you should see the image without any effect or an empty area.
It generally happens with a pattern. To make patterns, we mainly use a component called Bomber that automatically repeats some design on the screen, generating the pattern. Sometimes the design must be repeated in so particular way that the Bomber can't handle it. We have to repeat the design manually. We make one in the center of the screen, then we copy it many times around that center, until we feel that it is enough big. Clearly this has a limit. Over that limit, the pattern ends.
- The second may be caused by the FF version. Using a free version, just for test, may have limitations.
But also these two cases, the area is much bigger than only 600x600.
