Thank you! I'm happy that you like it. In this filter the rotation of the cube is very "hand made", as you will see if you open it with the editor. I had to build one by one every single rotation. I wonder if there is a way to automatize it, so that, simply selecting the degree of rotation, it is possible to get a result. |

Thank you. I still have some ideas connected with what I did in this filter and that I didn't add here. I will check if they are worth for a new filter. ![]() |

Ah, the problem of fixed projections. To my knowledge ThreeDee has rotated a cube about the Y axis: Image Cube
Given the hundreds of cubes rendered by some of the presets I think hard coding is a better solution: it would slow it down, it’s already slow but wonderful. My 2 cents. Math meets art meets psychedelia. |

Thanks!
Yes, ThreeDee did a very good work. I was thinking to include it in a more complex filter. Let's see if it can fit or not. |

ROTATION OF THE CUBES? I have thought also that it would be really cool and awesome IF all this amazing and complex ordered cubes in such creative way COULD ROTATE while staying in the same place, have not tested it yet but will try
The first thing I thought after seeing this amazing and awesome filter is why is was not possible to add images additionally as option to the plain colors, and then when trying to modify the color control I did understand why because as you say well, it is using the clever and cool fixed projections that are only good and great for plain color but not for images Thanks very much for remembering the ThreeDee rotated cube, because I had forgot about it and was wondering how it would be possible, and you solved it by showing that it was already done, but do not know if it would be possible to make it so must be tested and see, and will tell what I can get. MULTIPLE IMAGES IN THREEDEE CUBE Also I have been able to remember that at end of the comment thread I had put the filter with multiple images
Even more complex than this ? ![]() CAN THE THREEDEE ROTATED CUBE BE ANIMATED? The answer is YES, it was not as easy as I thought to replace the rotation component, but after thinking about how the remapping was done, I tried to simulate it in some way with the normalized time component, and after some testing it finally WORKS and the dream of ThreeDee of having real rotating cubes is now possible in FF Studio The filter is already available in this other thread of the comment page of the original filter |

I did very complex filters in the past. Anyway doing complex filters is not easy. The main reasons are two. Complex filters may become rather slow, and it is clearly not amusing for the people who want to use them staying waiting long time before to see the result. Depending on how the complexity is handled, the filter may have a lot of controls. It may be difficult for the users to understand how to customize the final result. Then, recently, I've done many rather simple filters. |
