Looks very promising.

Variations 3+4 already look pretty realistic, although I'd reduce the noise distortion on the fringes of the bricks themselves in some places to break up the uniformity across the texture.

The bottom dirt needs way more chaos (it's too 'stripey' at the moment), and why not make it an overall dirt?

This is just my personal feeling, but since this is obviously a texture, I'd ditch the life preserver completely. Those who feel like marrying it with bricks can always persue their fantasies by blending it in Photoshop.

As in tuning some areas down with noise so they won't be so rough/aged like others? I could easily do that with other noise and blend if I'm hearing ya right.

I can take another look at it. What about the top dirty one? It's basically the same.

Thank you for all suggestions!

I have been working with bricks a lot as of late, and I have to say that I love your approach. Definetly an old worn down brick look. Realistic and very clever.
