Yeah this is a technique Ive used In a lot of filters and it finally dawned that new folks might get some help from it

well, if you've ever used paint shop pro you know that it needs more gradients, textures and patterns. so, filters like this are always handy.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Yeah I remember that about paint shop pro --personally Im a gimp man so I have to create alot of that from scratch anyhow

Yeah I have but strangely enough I prefer the native interface
Have you heard of pspi.exe

it allows for quite a few phototshop plugins to run native

except FF but I can still use it as stand alone and copy and paste
lets all whine for a wine port

ah, the gimp add-ons. at least, i think that's one of them. i used the gimp briefly. didnt like the clone method. preferred psp's. also tried gimpshop but i have photoshop now. so, that isnt currently on my computer either.

i'm surprised FF doesnt work in the gimp.

Well I do have a copy of photoshop but only one copy and a bunch of computers so I just resigned myself to use gimp

hehe, sounds like me in a way. i have cs3 but mostly use psp. just simpler in most cases.
