Nice look. I did one similar with no image input a while back (not submitted), it seems like some other filters I've done had multiple looks like yours there. Some presets look like blend set at *multpiply*, and some look like it's set at *vivid light* or *overlay* or something. Not to criticize, because yours looks very good, just an idea to look into the blending (if that's even what's causing that) to see if there's a better way to not get those weird dark/light orange overlays. smile:)

Though to be honest, I dont know what you are talking about with the "weird dark/light orange overlays". Everything looks how I expected it to, so I dont see any weirdness, unless you mean how some of the presets have a yellow/orangish shine to them, but that is caused by whichever light source is applied.

you might also want to take a look at the bubblewrap filter, rawn. could be some extra ideas in there you could use.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Might just be something between the mix of the Brightness/Contrast modules, since the only Blend I saw there is set for the surface height. It's no big deal, I just recognized that extreme difference in the presets and recalled being annoyed when I made a filter than did a similar thing, but for all I know you prefer it that way. So no worries, cool filter either way. smile:)
